I bought my first Volvo 3 years ago, a black '99 V70 GLT. At that point, that was the nicest car I'd ever owned, and we spent quite a lot of time bringing it back to its former glory. I then picked up a very abused '99 V70R, and we were able to keep it going for another 6 months, but it eventually succumbed due to engine failure. Now I'm on my 3rd Volvo, another '99, but this time a V70 T5M. Like most P80s, it needs some work, but with the R as a donor car, I have almost everything it needs covered.
2004 XC70 - Mystic Silver/Taupe
1999 V70R GT - Mystic Silver/Graphite - 149k miles. Converted from base model. T5M drivetrain with all R parts, my Child.
1999 V70 T5M - Mystic Silver/Graphite - Stripped, about to be junked.
1999 V70R AWD - Mystic Silver/Graphite - dead.
1999 V70 GLT - Black/Graphite - sold, then died.
