Any idea how much the camera draws?
It is likely original. Check the top of the negative post for a date stamping. Not sure when they started doing it though and don't think I've seen it on all of them.
There was a service campaign for the plugs and 87 isn't the cause of oil consumption developing.
Aside from the occasional rodent nest I find under the covers, I've never seen a problem caused by any of the engine covers.
They were working on the car assuming it would be an issue covered under warranty. It was not. Good luck getting someone to sign for an hour diagnostic charge on every warranty repair order.
Don't put much trust in the CPO process. At the end of the day, it's a paper checklist that's run down by the dealer service department. Very easy for them to pencil whip and ignore things if able to...
There's a TJ for it. We replace the switches and the harness. It comes as a kit.
Here we go again...
If the owner's manual says the car requires premium, run premium.
If the owner's manual recommends premium, you can try regular.
That's the bottom line and it applies to...
That piece just pries off. It needs to be removed to remove the door panel because there is a screw behind it holding the door panel on. Start at the edge closest to the front of the car. There is...
Probably around $1100.
Updated software is part of the CPO process. Of course, there is a chance an update comes out between when it is updated during the CPO process and when the vehicle is actually sold.
Follow the sticker on the car.
So tech, if I’m not mistaken this thread. The timing/serpentine belt failure issue is only related to 2012 T5s. I have 2013 s60 T5 with 70k miles and wondering if I need to do any of these changes ? ...
There is no oil life sensor. Probably something messed up in translation to Carfax. Maybe the service light was reset?
I don't see any metal splash pan in that picture. As mentioned, the accessory being discussed uses the same holes as the original splash pan. So you can't mount both and doing so would serve no...
The battery and software issue isn't a Volvo issue, it's a dealer issue. The battery should have been checked prior to delivery and the software must be updated as well. The dealer did not follow...
This is why these threads get confusing. People are talking about different engines, different belts, etc.
On the 5 cylinder T5, I recommend changing the drive belts and tensioner before the...
A 5 cylinder T5, not Drive-E T5.
And it's the tensioner that failson those, causing the belt to shred.
To further elaborate on the T5/T6/T8, T5 is turbocharged only, T6 turbocharged and supercharged, T8 turbocharged, supercharged and hybrid.
No, it is not any of those. The supercharger is different than the turbocharger. But it feeds the turbocharger so I'm not sure if that would change things.
For sure they can, but in the case of warranty work, they then have to prove that the aftermarket modification caused the issue in the first place. As an example, on the VW/Audi 2.0T engine the cam...
My opinion is that these relaibility questions are dependent on a individuals expectations, past experiences and even cost involved. We all know certain brands vehicles, that can statistically can go...
We don't disconnect the big door speaker. So if that's what you're replacing, don't worry about it. But if you're adding wiring or something additional, then wait.
Not sure what exactly you're planning, but wait until after. No tech wants to deal with aftermarket stuff if it makes more work for them that they aren't paid to deal with.
Anything is repairable if you want to go that deep. You need to find out where the compression is going. There won't be a cheap solution though.
That's pretty fair.
Just wondering what your basis is for your claim.
If you're not drinking the koolaid I'd say 150k, and I've owned them all.[/QUOTE]
So everything should last 150,000 miles? Or is the problem here the cost involved?
What are you talking about? It is repairable. The latch would need to be replaced.
Just curious... What would be an acceptable mileage for this to happen? Things don't last forever.
