Hi,
For what it’s worth I too am troubleshooting a drivetrain vibration come from my AWD system on my 02 V70XC. I’ve gone ahead and ordered a refurbed driveshaft from Coloradodriveshaft.com and will...
Yeah that was my first thought but the 02 has no regulator on rail.

Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It's happening on my '02 V70XC.
Car starts without fail when cold but recently. I've had a few instances (maybe 8x over the course of a couple of...
Got a break from the dealership today. Went in to get some replacement wipers and also inquired about getting replacement lug bolts for my 2010 V70. The bolt collars have all swollen and the ystay...
Yep, good point. Thank you!

For any of you who have run out of jobs to do on your P2, here's one for you. Likely an overkill but most of the P3's have these so they must be of some use.
Quick video on how to install an XC90...
Thanks, A. Was just looking the part up on volvopartswebstore and it’s quite confusing. They have a few different t parts listed for the prop shaft but many/most list the full range of years with...
Just wondering what’s involved, specifically can it be done in situ or does shaft have to come right out?
Here’s the state of mine which is causing some vibrations at certain RPM:

Dumb question: axles bolts have been tightened up, right?

Ok I was thinking same - I will continue to keep my eyes open for a 2001-2002 ccm at the local wreckers.

I recently started getting a message in vida that my cabin temp sensor was not functioning. I ignored it for a while which was fine but I’ve recently started getting bursts of cold air at high speed...
I finished the sway bar upgrade work last weekend along with a bunch of other stuff.
Wow, the rear sway bar upgrade makes a big difference to handling. Rear ends stays low and stable around...
Yep, definitely glued in. You have to pry to the point of wondering what will give first the speaker housing or the adhesive. Don’t attempt this in very cold weather. Speaker will give first.

Tech‘s info is bang on.
Just to be clear though: can you confirm that you have removed the DIM and reached in to depress or break the tab that can only be reached through DIM opening? Tech also...
The trailing arms are the ones thAt are forward of the hub (part #13). Dumb name for a part that leads instead of trails as far as I’m concerned. The bushing that typically fails is the one in the...
Well it’s worth a try. What have you got to lose at this point?

Here is a crude video after I took bolts out. If it’s not totally clear from video, bolt is identical in thread pitch and bolt head to the two smaller bolts that fasten the subframe bracket to...
Me too (on wheels). I found it incredible how much a little ice could cause such huge vibration. Scared me so bad that I pulled into a local garage in the town I was travelling through to make sure...
Hah, that’s a great tale!

Update:
All bits and pieces are back on (newer hubs/spindles, axles, trailing arm bushings, inner subframe bushings (x2) and I'm baffled with where I'm experiencing some delays: jacking up the rear...
I will be popping mine off this week so can check. Will let you know.

Why don’t you bolt a slide hammer to the flange and slam it out that way.

Thank you. I’m guessing that the prop is easier to remove from the front end then? I ask as I still may take the angle gear out to reseal it and replace the vent but that’s for another day. I’m...
Yeah I had some trouble holding it in place. And when I did, I still managed to ding the cap which kind of pulled away from the male piece a bit. Hopefully no harm done. I just tapped it back in...
I gave up. Heat might have helped but i was concerned about damaging the rubber seals in the area. I chipped away at it pointing towards the rear of the car too thinking it might make sense to get...
Managed to get the first of four rear bushings out. Wow, getting one of these out can be a real pain. The one I got out is the front bushing of the rear trailing arm....
