I haven’t used the car in a few days and when I opened the Volvo app, it said that the car was in standby mode to save battery and the commands may take one hour to get executed.
I never heard of...
Hi BingBang, thanks for trying to help me. The way I read this, it seems to be the same setting that affect in the same way the fob and the open handles operate. Either single door or all doors with...
Thanks for the link but unfortunately those are the settings for the remote fob (driver or all), not when you put the car in Park.
In all my previous (modern) cars, I was able to set the remote to...
When I put the car on Park, the driver door unlocks but all the rest remain locked.
I cannot figure out how to change the settings so that all doors unlock.
I was hoping that some of the old timers and studious folks in this forum may know what their car is really doing.
Back to my original question, what does “Maximize traction” actually mean? Does it dynamically change the torque to where it is needed? Does it start at a higher gear? Does the gear box and...
What about on cars that don’t have the air suspension?
Does it change the AWD system, or simply starts de car in second gear?
What does it actually do?
Another Volvo oddity. Almost every button, lever or switch works differently than in all the other cars I ever drove.
Light sequence: different
Odometer reset: different
The tip of the stalk has a button that doesn’t seem to do anything when the lights are on.
What is its function?
Is it firmer than the Momentum or Inscription?
Do they give you a loaner at least?
Yesterday the main screen showed that there were new apps for download. Among them Pandora. I downloaded it and logged in with my credentials. A few moments later I saw all my stations. However the...
I had to take my 2019 T5 with around 2000 miles to the dealer to replace a fuel related part due to engine error light.
With 30 years of Japanese car experience (Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Lexus and...
Somehow the dealers always manage to determine that everything is “normal”...
I was debating whether to get the T5 or the T6 so I road tested both before leasing the Inscription T5 but truthfully I was focusing more in the difference between the engines. Also my senses were...
Very noisy! I complained in other posts about its diesel like sound at idling.
It is certainly by biggest complaint about the car.
Not only noisy at idling but also a lot of engine noise while...
It sounds like an Inscription with a few optional packages.
I wonder they don’t show it at the Volvo website.
What is the difference between the Inscription and the Inscription Pro?
Thank you as well as skibum
You are technically correct.
However regardless of the wording, it should not be common to have a problem like that with a brand new car.
I really hope I don’t encounter any more “common” issues.
Check engine light came on. Took it to the dealer and they found that there was a leak on the emissions system.
They replaced the fuel filler pipe. According to the tech “it is normal”...
I cleared the cache and did not help.
How do you contact the site's admins?
I am getting pretty frequently the error shown above.
It happens almost randomly regardless of the browser I am using on my iPad running 12.4
I did a search online and it seems to be a known issue...
I am in total agreement with your statement.
Nevertheless it was a surprise to me that Volvo's were built in China and also disappointed with the 3 issues I mentioned.
I asked the forum about them...
Interesting question and difficult answer.
Japanese and German engineered cars assembled in the US seem to be fine for the most part. However I do not know if the they fare better, worse or the same...
I will try to post the decibels level of my XC60 vs the MDX.
Surprised to hear that. My wife’s RX was very quiet. My MDX tailgate is whisper quiet.
Maybe next weekend I will measure the decibeles for objective data.
Mine is silent on level 1, tolerable on 2 and loud beyond that.
The rear passenger HVAC is similar.
