So we have this thread over @ Volvospeed and it's pretty cool.

What did you do today?

Installed brackets in my trunk to keep my tool kit from moving around, and bungie cords on the side cubbie to keep my cleaning stuff in place.

Re: (sanatarium)

LOL. I had a guy go off on me for probably 5 minutes about how nice my car was and how Audis are great cars, and how there isn't a lot of them here in the west.
I couldn't bring myself to tell him it wasn't an Audi and just listened to him.

finished my woofer install this weekend...
the sound is sooo much better now!!

maybe I'll have some time on my hands the following days to record an audio sample with and without the woofers...

also, tried to find some sort of ABE for the rims I'd like to order... but no luck with this one...

cheers

I washed it today and am thinking it's time to book an appointment to have the coilovers put in.

What shop do you BC guys use? Any Volvo specialists?

I haven't been able to go to any shops for coilovers. You may want to check up on "Revscene". People reccoment places around the lower mainland. Do you know any place to get a quote for an exhaust system? Just gonna a magnaflow and tips. Any suggestions?

The guy that does my VW is most excellent and I'm quite certain he'll be able to take care of the Volvo. I was just curious if there's any local Volvo shops out here...

Vash, I assume you live in Vancouver so if you're just getting the exhaust installed you could try MFRT. They're more of a JDM car shop but they did lots of work on my old '01 GTI and I was always pretty pleased with the work. You can give me a shout or add me on msn if you need any more info on them.

If you're looking to buy a Magnaflow try Lordco (Crazy, I know...). I bought a Magnaflow cat-back there once and it was super cheap. They gave me a huge discount.

Re: (Moofluffen)

Yeah I looked up magnaflow dealers in Vancouver and the only thing that popped up was Lordco and Canadian Tire
. Never even thought of them. Should I just buy the parts there and bring it over to whomever you suggest? What am I looking around for price wise.

Re: (Vash13)

I don't have the receipts for the parts from my other GTI anymore but I believe the exhaust was around $300. Any muffler shop could install it. I don't even remember who did mine...

With the 2nd (and better!) exhaust on that car I ordered it from one shop and had it installed by MF. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Re: What did you do to your car today? (cicatrizdare)

Had a local shop install:

1) IPD sway bar
2) IPD front end links
3) Eibach camber arms

Just had no time (or the real desire) to do it myself.

For the first time in the car's life it aligned within specs. Can't say the sway bar did much for cornering, still feels fat and top-heavy but geez it tracks the straights and slight twisties like it's brand new. Practically drives itself and no jitters or wiggles on uneven pavement. Had 30 knot crosswinds coming home and it felt minimal, w/no tugging left or right. Very pleased with the glide of the ride for hwy driving. Feels like an "expensive" ride again - with a little attitude.
