Later this summer, based on his schedule, my son will attend Apex driving school, where he will be trained in advanced car control and learn to drive a standard transmission.
Thank goodness this is happening. Now this kid won't be so concerned with the audio systems and interior with a car now that he will be better connected to his car(s)' engines.

I think the better part of this story is not about the car, but about being a parent.

Where do you find this stuff? WOW!
I never crashed anyone's car but I did steal my parents customized 59 Caddy Convt.
      (Cut off fins).
I had a great Thursday night date with my then girlfriend (I was 17 and a junior in high school) and everything went as planned until I walked into my bedroom and there was my father calmly reading a book on MY bed!!!.
(I was grounded for two weeks)

LOL! As long as your dad did not beat your ass, then that's a pretty cool response!

I threw a rod in my dads 68 Lincoln Town Car on my graduation night....going @ 100 on I-95 on my way to a party in Daytona Beach. Needless to say...we did not make the party. Dad got the engine rebuilt at No Fla Linc-Mercury.......and I never drove the car again.
