Figured I'd ask. I keep getting the runaround from vendors, and thought someone may have a set they purchased and never installed

Get the S60 awd springs. They work on the V and XC.

They're not as stiff in the rear, but I may give them a try since the price is right (ends up being almost 50% cheaper than the XC version I can find). Unfortunately, the rep I contacted at Eibach has not been returning my phone calls or emails

Thanks for the friendly reminder - I was going for something specific to "get it right the first time," but I guess I could always try it first for the price I'm paying...

Actually I should correct myself. The S60 AWD springs work on AWD V70 but the XC may have a different setup.

The order was placed, and I just need one more strut (which I believe I have...?) and a few more items and this baby gets lowered!

Hey, Chilled Man, what was the part number for the lowering springs you used for the 2001-2007 XC70?

This thread said that the S60 AWD springs work on the XC, when I search for that part number I come up with Eibach part #8429.140, is that correct? This is so confusing, I see several part numbers floating around the vairous forums (like the Eibach 8428-140, 8429-140 and 8430-140) but not until this forum has anyone ever said they found lowering springs that actually fit the XC, I have a 2001. I'm also doing a +1 upgrade, and the tires will be 235/55/17. If lowered will there be any rubbing? I've read that there's no rubbing with that size at stock height, but since you've done the lowering twice, I'd venture to guess you've played around with your share of tire sizes too!

I've been hearing that if I use the S60 AWD springs it may be an uneven drop/sag a bit in the rear, due to the weight difference between S and V/XC.. Did you have a problem with this?
