      ** Vendor Feedback Thread **

We have repeated threads rehashing the same complaints. Those who were here in the '05-07 time frame remember the thread after thread trashing of Svenske and Alamo.

So we do not have repetitive threads, please post questions and comments about a particular vendor or individual seller in this thread. I will try to merge in previous threads. If you see a thread that should be included, drop me a PM.

      Thanks!
      Chris

      Angry Carbon Fiber Werks HELP!!!!!!

I was wondering if anybody knows how to get in touch with Henry from Carbon Fiber Werks. I ordered new front winglets from him and paid via paypal 3 months ago and can't get any response from him. I just want the product or money back. I have left a dozen voicemails and emails.

Seems other people have had the same problem. You might be able to get something worked out with your credit card.

Yeah unfortunately this has happened a few times in the past, I ended up going with George at ViVa who is golden in customer service. I like how this 96plat kid pointed out Vio's comment, and not rmorse's. Don't play favorites now!

Always pay through paypal as their resolution center is top knotch. Unfortunately stuff like this happens and It's sad but people like George certainly keep a companies name golden, not only did he reach out and offer me a part that I was in need of at a very decent price but when I got there he went out of his way to take me for a ride in that beast of an R, Outstanding...

Seriously though. Just Message DevolvR. You'll get a faster response that way.

I'm on my third order, and although the product is top notch, each order has taken longer than the one before. Unfortunately, I'm on month #4 right now. Henry does typically reply if you're friendly, but even if my order comes in, it will be my last transaction with CFW. Bummer.

Guys, this won't get resolved here. No matter if you post here or not.

Please resort to Email or PMs (to [email protected] or lowenhart).

Also, I'm removing any unnecessary negative commentary about CFWerks. If you have any further issues with CFWerks on your orders or if you just want to vent, PM me directly.

Seriously though. Just Message DevolvR. You'll get a faster response that way.
      That's certainly an alternative.

WTF, then why not just kill the thread

We know you're friends with the dude, but if someone in the future wants to know about the customer satisfaction one can expect from CFW's, they will never know if you keep deleting (so called negative) posts.

But whatever, you're the mod I guess.

I think threads like these are good - they help new users make a decision whether to use a certain vendor or not... so lets keep the negatives and positives.

I have to agree with this.

I've used CFW's with excellent results before but I don't think all negative comments should be removed unless they are generally attacking in nature.

Perhaps we need what I've seen in other forums.
This is Having a specific area for vendor grievances/or member to member sales which didn't end well. Provides a place for the 2 sides to work to successful conclusion (without others chiming in). It keeps threads from cluttering up other areas of the site (such as this case, the r-forum) Other users can then read for themselves how the 2 sides worked to remedy things if they want to support a specific vendor and see they have had issues in the past.

In rare cases were a vendor (shady subaru seller) was just terrible time and time again. It served as a reminder to stay away. Threads were locked by moderators at conclusion when both parties came to an agreement.

It also served as an area for other posters/new members to warn of shady sites/vendors.

      just an idea.

edit. It also served as a place to thank vendors for good service up and beyond what normally would be expected.

I would have to agree with this as well as the last post. We aren't bashing him, just keeping people aware of reliable dealers and unreliable dealers especially when posts like the one above only condone the great behaviors of such people like George. Everyone deserves praise and grief where and when needed.

Agreed. I'm for helping those getting their products. But members that just say "oh that's why buy from Viva instead" is going to get their comments removed. That doesn't help OP nor the situation, nor does stepping on CFWerks helps the OP in this situation.

By you saying this you are suggestion that our suggestions to view other vendors is useless to the decision of those on this forum and that is not right. Might as well blackhole the whole forum then...If someone is doing a crap job at customer service it is our job as posters to give recommendations to the Op to better their experiences in the future and if you think otherwise than perhaps you should consider revising your moderation techniques.

But the problem is. The negatives always are greater than the positives, there will be a lot more voices of complaints. That's just the nature of this forum, and that goes with Volvo and other issues.

That was the thread where both sides are working to resolve the situation were the only ones allowed to post (apart from moderators when needed). It was not for other members to jump in--> just observe.

That's human nature, negatives are always expressed greater than positives but thats the nature of the situation as well, if a load of people are pissed off about a vendor than the general voice of the posters involved will be rather harsh.

Right, that's fine, if they have an open case where they have not received their product and out on the cash. Go ahead and post it (but not on R Forum),

The posts I'm referring to are the posts that people are simply expressing their own negative opinions.

Is your intention to force CFwerks to be out of business or do you want to help the OP at getting their transactions resolved?

By posting negatives here is forcing the latter, not the a resolution. If you can understand that, then you will understand why I'm removing such posts.
It doesn't help to blow up at a vendor. All vendors will have issues from time to time. I'm not defending anyone by this but it happens in business. How a business responds to complaints/issues comes up says much about the vendor itself.

Both a record needs to be kept and made available for others to see and the prevention of dog piling on a vendor. At the end of the day we need our limited vendors and they are here to provide us with products. It is in our best interests to keep them around and help work with them to help them improve service in cases where it wasn't satisfactory. If they cannot provide satisfactory level of service and history is shown sales will suffer naturally.

      /my 2 cents.

Thanks atacamaR, I think we're on the same page.

IF, one has access to the negative posts. If they all get deleted, then more and more customers get burned.

Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Leave all posts good and bad and let the people figure it out for themselves.

If a company is worth their shit this wouldn't be a problem, however in this case (CFW) has had problems with customer relations and people should be aware of it.

This is my new favorite quote for many reasons, none of which are anything positive. lol.

I don't see a problem posting "negative" reviews about CFWerks in the R forum because this is the place people come to see new parts/mods. I rarely go to another part of SS and I, as a possible customer, would like to know details about the vendor before shoving over hundreds of dollars. To make things worse, if I don't hear back for months about a refund or a status update, that's gonna make me awful sore. The fact is that you can't say "don't suggest other vendors" either. I've lost count on how many people have had the SAME EXACT issue with CFWerks. No responce/excuse/backorder(which is understandable as all parts are made after order is received). When you pay so much for a product, you're entitled to a status update whenever you, the customer, wish.

      P.S.

When was the last time anyone complained about another vendor? I mean Elevate has had numerous complaints about fit and finish, but that's all I can think of.

^^^ THIS! Unless people are posting false and malicious statements about CFWerks, which results in the loss of their business, then there's no problem. So until someone lies about something, it's not illegal.

I agree I'm not arguing that. I specifically say there needs to be a record of posts. I actually mention it in both posts. I'm not trying to defend either party here either.

I'm just stating a possible solution. There needs to be an area where both parties work to conclusion and records need to be kept. If it's all in one place it's easy to find and people see repeat offenders and HOW they deal with complaints one can easily reach their own conclusion. How the vendor responds really does indicate what kind of company they are. If complaints are rampant, go un-resolved it's even easier to see.

As it stands now we periodically get posts like this and after a while they drop off where you would have to search to find it. If you have a forum area dedicated to it would be much easier to find, especially for new members.

and off-topic: 850... I will soon have black ipd track sway bars too..... just took them in to get stripped to be re-done...
