Curious why you guys ultimately decided on 245 from 265?
A combination of performance, noise level, cost and other factors. This dimension was found to be the best option for the S/V60 Polestar with the previously mentioned factors.

Can actual build dates be associated with our Polestar numbers?
      Thanks!
Sorry, information on the build process of individual cars is not something we have, you have to contact your local Volvo dealer for information on the build/delivery process. Good luck with your V60 Polestar though, glad that you selected one of our cars!

Are you able to provide a more accurate delivery date? I reside in Chicago, IL and purchased from Volvo of Oak Park.
Sorry, as stated in the first post, we have no specific delivery information on the cars, you need to contact your dealer and/or Volvo about that.

should someone wish to ignore the increase in noise and cost, can you let us know does the production car's wheelwell -- given the final locations of links, dampers, brake lines, et al -- support a wider rim and tire as was affixed to the prototype?

If yes, I am assuming it had to be a wider than 8" rim. Could you let us know what was the width and offset of the rim used on the prototype?

Is there any chance that will be made available for sale?

      Thank you.

Unfortunately not, the production cars does not support a wider rim/tire.

Noticed you side-stepped the manual transmission comments . Btw, I would second the introduction of a manual if you're taking votes

I asked for the PDF soft copy before you created that thread. Still thanks for posting the pics.

Looks like we will get a PDF link soon so we can download that manual.

Please, stop spamming every thread with these photos. We can call ourselves lucky that Polestar created their own thread, there is no need to fill it with nonsense photos!

Does Polestar intend to upgrade power on new T6/D5 (2.0) engine, just like on current engines (3.0/2.4)?

Does polestar have a workshop manual(not owners manual)available? Does polestar recommend specific wax for the paint or wheels? Are the tires that come with the car suitable for spirited rain driving? What is the difference between the 3.0 polestar engine and the 3.2 Volvo(pistons, conrods, cams, etc)
      Thanks

We are working closely with Volvo with the new engines regarding optimisation, we will inform you guys when there is more information on the subject.

We had no official timing on our cars unfortunately, the main purpose was to show the cars rather than set a time.

We have no specific recommendation regarding wax. The tires work really well in rain, it is one of the areas we have worked a lot with. The difference between the original T6 engine and the S/V60 Polestar engine is a new turbo charger, new intercooler and a different engine management system.

The Öhlins dampers are adjustable, but we recommend to not make any other changes to them.

The reason for us writing this is that all-season tires are always a compromise in terms of performance. With a performance car such as the S/V60 Polestar, the choice of tires is very important and changes the characteristics of the car completely. There are many hours of testing by our engineers and drivers behind the choice of summer and winter tires. I hope this helps explaining the situation.

You must not have considered this is not a US-only forum ... there are a lot more cars to be delivered to owners than that!

Thank you for answering these questions on this forum...it is unique and well appreciated. With respect to the question at hand (i.e. are the Ohlin shocks rebuiladable?), I'm not advocating for changing the shocks parameters/specifications in any way. I'm concerned that when they wear out and need to be replaced, likely many years from now, that re-building them is cheaper than replacing them (likely $1K vs. $6K or more). Is this something that was planned for? If not, that's OK. Just curious.

Thank you in advance, and as previously stated thank you for taking the time to respond to our questions.

Thank you, we are glad to be here and to see the interest in our cars!

The dampers are built specifically to be used all year, compared to the previous race specification dampers of Öhlins, so durability should not be a concern. But we are of course going to keep close track of potential future issues on all parts of the car, dampers included.

I took delivery this past Sat and have a few questions--
I noticed my rear disc already looks dated/worn as from the attached pic the cast iron material has already rusted. Does this look normal to you and up to Polestar spec?

Also, do you know what level the dampers were on when you had the world press test review the cars? I'm aware they are now set at 10 but I'm thinking I may have my Volvo dealer set them a tad higher 12-14?

      Thank you once again

This is unfortunately the look you get due to it being of cast iron material. This is most likely due to the transport/shipping conditions, as previously mentioned in this thread, it does not take much for it to look like this in terms of heavy rain, etc. We know that all precautions are made during shipping to avoid this, but protection is only possible to some degree. It does however not affect the performance of the brakes, although we fully understand regarding the looks of it.

The dampers were set in our factory setting during the press drives, a setting we have developed as the best mix of performance and all-day comfort.

And there is particular interest/debate regarding pg. 4 and the directive that all-season tires are NOT ALLOWED
recommend redonkulously expensive tires, then state all season tires are not allowed.

Gimme a break, Conti DWSs would perform just fine on this car.
