      '15 vs. '15.5 V60 R-Design...differences/known-issues?

      I am looking at a NOS 2015 R-Design Platinum...anything that I should be aware of in the '15 vs. '15.5 realm...changes from or known-issues for the '15?

      Thank you.

Only major changes for 2015.5MY are packaging options (what's included with what trim level), Sensus is completely different as well with 3G signal for internet and apps, Harmon Kardon replaces the Premium Sound System, and R-Design's lost the stitching on the front seat backs. I see you have a 2012 XC70 in your signature so you should be very familiar with Sensus if you are jumping into a 2015 V60RD. I can't say speak on any known issues or problems you should look out for regarding the 2015/2015.5 V60RD; mine has been flawless since picking it up in September.

We just bought a 2015 S60R in December. Looked at a 2015.5 too (not an R-design) and found them identical. Not being interested in the Onstar-like new Sensus system we went with the 2015. I didn't know that the audio system changed to HK in 15.5 so I feel lucky. Had a "premium" HK system in my '13 Subaru and it was terrible. So far the premium system in our 15 sounds great but interestingly it does not sound as good as the premium system in our ' 13 C70 that we traded in.

Hi, congrats on your new Volvo!

You'll have to adjust the stereo settings a bit from factory to get the good sound out. Start by turning on the surround sound and moving the DPLII surround level full up. You get to this menu by pressing the sound button within the upper left volume knob. This unleashes most of the sound. You can also adjust the center speaker output to your liking, along with bass, treble, fader, balance, etc.

Next, set your equalizer similar to this:

It's all fine tuning/personal taste after that..

Wish there were more illustrations of the multiple sensus screens, but the even the supplied user manual is limited. You just have to navigate around in the sound and My Car advanced menu's.
