What were the symptoms you were getting that you knew you had bad turbo vanes? I Googled it and only came up with Diesel turbo motors with this issue.

      PureDrive07,

Here is the link to the separate post I started on the subject: https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...495-Whining-P*

Basically, I can hear my turbo, where I could not when I picked the car up. The tech from Volvo USA came and diagnosed the issue as the vanes in the turbo causing the issue, possibly due to a slight manufacturing defect. They are going to put a new turbo in.

      Cheers!

MPG: trip computer says 21.6mpg / topping off the fuel tank driving then topping off again gets me 20.5 so.....somewhere in between?
      50/50 city/highway

And also (1) flat tire - full replacement non repairable. Screw punctured the edge and was leaking 12psi per hour.

      Purchased the day before Thanksgiving.

Mileage would be even lower if I didn't make two trips to VT amounting to about 1400 miles of it.

Avg. MPG would be higher if it wasn't for all the idling to warm the car while squatting in my parking spot during street cleaning days in NYC.

3 months old today! Remote start and idling is also killing my gas mileage, in addition to the many start stops.

I need a couple of road trips!

Speaking of remote start, does the key fob version also work, or only the app? I am talking about the special two-button simultaneous press.

3220 mi here. A tad over 5 months driving. I have a very short commute and I have driven my other car during the worst of our weather. Spring is almost here now and I plan to put the summer tires back on by April 15.

My key does not remote start the car, just the app.

My app starts the car, but as soon as I open the door to get in, the car shuts off. How do I keep that from happening?

Up to 1900 miles now... love this car... mileage is going up too.

According to the manual, no can do. It is a theft prevention feature put in to stop a bad guy from jumping in your beautiful Rebel Blue, and just driving off.

How do they jump in a locked car?

What a stupid design. And if they dropped the fob-based remote start for that....

Apparently you can add on the fob based remote start as an accessory. I agree that the remote start shutting off is a dumb function. My Jeeps have remote start, and when you unlock the door, you simply get in and press the start button to zoom off. The Toyotas also killed the engine once you open the door, and it was so annoying. Is there a fix to this?

What does add on as an accessory mean? It's either there or not, no?

I would imagine he means the older style version available on the '15 and older cars with the different key fob. I think it costs $499 where I live and I've been considering it.

Thanks...didn't realize the older fobs were different. I thought it was just a software thing that could be programmed to accept the presses from any legitimate fob.

I would too if I was seeing your numbers. I'm not happy at my numbers. It's supposed to be returning 21mpg combined which I have not seen a single person report. I think it is safe to assume that most people on here have a heavy foot and engines are still fairly new but mileage has not been impressive so far. I do not know how this compares to real world numbers of R Designs.
