      Got bested by the fuel filter. Ugh.

      Got the oil changed (first synthetic oil for the car, I would bet) and then decided to do the fuel filter. Took the pressure off the line by draining at the schrader valve. Got the bolt out of the holder with shockingly little trouble. The quick disconnect on the schrader side clicked and came off with no effort. Then spent an hour trying all manner of ways to remove the other side's quick disconnect. No luck. Decided to put it back together and call it a day. Will try again some other day. Any ideas?

      Heating it up may help (not with open fire apparently). Plastic shrinks more than metal with temperatures going down.

      Had the same issue a few months back on my V70, same button. Had a recovering sprained thumb that wasn't making life easier. Still haven't tried again, forgot all about it :P I'll have to try some of the suggestions you got. Thanks for the reminder (I think...)

      Parking brake stopped working - itís not stuck and feels like it has pressure and it clicks all the way up, but the car doesnít react at all. New shoes? What could that be

      Got to drive my now Quaife equipped 2001 T5M in the snow ;-). Seems to keep the traction control more muted and definetly gets moving easier even in snow up to 5 inches deep. Wanted to compare it to the XC70 but the latter has nearly new Nokian WRG3s on it so not a totally fair comparison.

      Also recently got the 2003/2004 shifter upgrade fully installed and working, will update the separate thread on this subject (see General FWD/AWD section) with pictures and how to.

      The airbag depends on the year of the recipient, S-B told me to use a 2003-2004 airbag for my 2001. Might apply to controls cant recall

      I had to do a clutch job on my first car. SVT Contour. Since the trans was out I had a quaife installed as well. Really transformed that car. I mean, it always handled well but the added traction just made it that much better. And it was a tank in the snow. I never got stuck in that car after that. I didn't even have proper winter tires.

      Harry's in Hazelton or Pennbrook for the airbag. I think I paid $35 for mine. Got the VIN off the donor car in case of any recall issues. I think you need an 01-04 wheel and airbag. S60s make decent donors.

      Wheel of choice. 01-04 wheel button "chassis" and 01-04 airbag. 03-04 airbags have the ironmark on them. Otherwise bolts on. Just did a 06 S80 wood wheel with an 04 airbags and 03 buttons in my friends ORXC today:

      There's an 04 S60 at Gary's right now. Won't be able to get the airbag (not legal in NY), but can get the wheel.

      Yea Iím popping back there tomorrow or Tuesday to grab another door from that silver s70, do they take the airbag out before they put them in the yard? Tbh rarely see cars with a wheel there lol

      No, they don't remove the bag beforehand. They just placed that S60 the 13th.

      T25 torx to get the trim off the steering column. IIRC, 18mm bolt for the wheel. Not sure about the airbag. The 05+ have internal clips that require a small phillips screwdriver to release. The 04s are different.

      3 spoke wheels have those release clips, the 4 spoke wheels have 2x T30 bolts.

      Assuming the steering column is unlocked so you can get to the bolts/clips. Ended up sawing through the column with a hack saw (unpleasant but it worked) to harvest the R wheel I grabbed last summer.
      CO also won't let you take the air bag from the yard.
