Hmm, the US 2016 Polestar brochure says a regular laminated windshield. I didn't see any wires in the windshields of the P*'s at AutoNation Volvo San Jose. IIRC, Polestar spec'd these cars that way.
That car is noted as a manufacturer demonstrator, hence why the price. It probably has some hard mileage on it. I doubt they would sell a brand new one at that price.
Oh, didn't see that mileage. Seems strange then to label it as "manufacturer demonstrator" with low miles and sell for that low price. Something doesn't add up.
It's likely not a fluke. This is dealer I bought my RD and they are very easy to work with and tend to advertise their full price cuts. I bought mine for similar deal 3 years ago. Great simple buying experience. Mine was Not a Polestar, but executive dealer car for deep discount. I've actually been watching this one and thought about inquiring. Alas, I still am not ready to sign up again for tires every 14k miles. Oh, and I'll bet the Polestar Brembos wear like there Rs and not the RD durability (albeit inferior).
The RD and the P* are aligned identical according to P*, so tire wear should be the same provided you were to run PSS on your RD. It also only has Brembo rotors up front, Brembo pads all around. As it already has miles, you should at least go for a drive.
He buys and sells expensive cars all the time. Either he is extremely wealthy and has ADD or something is up. He does have a 100% rating but I don't know why he likes to lose money on cars.
Can you confirm/deny the 0% on 16 P*s? I asked a Boston area dealer and got told not on xc90s or P*s but didn't press. My interest in buying a black v60 P* is very much reinforced if that is the rate...
My dealer's Polestar specialist received the news Friday afternoon, so it's literally hot off the presses. [emoji12]
Is that Boston dealer an authorized Polestar dealer? If so, chat with their Polestar specialist. They may need to follow up with VCNA to confirm Friday's news.
Can anyone confirm the Volvo loyalty bonus applies for Polestars? I have seen on some dealer's sites there is currently "up to e $1750" in loyalty bonuses and a drop-down with list of trims (including P*), but another dealer told me it does not apply.
I am sure each dealer can offer what they want, but just wanted to clarify if the Polestars are actually EXCLUDED. Also, if anyone knows if this model is limited to something less than $1750, appreciate your insights.

Grecian, any chance you can confirm the the available term options on the 0% deal? I'm also having trouble with dealers acknowledging the program at all, let alone on P*s, so hopefully VCNA can resolve that for them as $3500 and 0% will go a long way for me to pick up one of the onyx black V60s at Viti... Thanks!
Update: The finance manager for the New England market of Volvo Financial confirmed that the 0% deal is only applicable for the western region. Feels discriminatory to me...
What's preventing you from buying out of state? If the financials are that different, the shipping cost or plane ticket and gas cost should be more than worth it.
Exactly, that is what i'm chasing after now. As in would a dealer in say CO (Rickenbaugh in Denver who has an Onyx V60) not be able to give me 0% because i'm a MA resident... the difference between 0% (using someone else's money) and a rate of ~2% is approaching $3,000 over the life of the loan so shipping or fly/drive would make sense. I'll report back when i know more (or you all can tell me you don't care and i'll stop posting about it)
I don't think the selling dealer cares where you live in order for you to qualify for 0%. Only thing is you have to go get the car or have it shipped, which you acknowledged. Let us know how it works out.
Additionally, for any people who reside from Chicago and west from there (all the way to Hawaii), there is also a huge opportunity to lease either the S60 or V60; we have initiated a lease program with some ridiculously low lease factors plus the residuals were boosted by 5%!
Dealers in Central / South Florida must have not gotten that memo. The monthly lease payments obtained for a V60 Polestar were ridiculously high with little to no discount on the MSRP.
Ya, that's just great. Volvo corporate went out of their way to make sure that I was to receive absolutely no incentives when I purchased my Polestar to the point of threatening to pull my dealer's ability to sell Polestars when they tried to extend the Wonder of Summer program to my purchase. This was before they changed the printed program information to exclude Polestars.
I love my car but my purchase experience with Volvo and how they've "managed" the Polestar products has left me cold on the company.
This is straight embarrassing for everyone at Volvo NA and Volvo Corporate. The 2016's should have never been built if Volvo was not going to commit to even a hint of a Marketing effort to sell them. This epic fail of a Marketing effort has resulted in the Dealers taking a big hit in Sale Price and all P* owners taking a HUGE hit in resale values. We have all been saying this for a long time, so I don't know why Volvo is only figuring this out now. You can't sell a car that no one knows about. In the process of all this they have also managed to piss off all of the existing P* owners, so a double fail to make things even worse.
Sold the Blue V60 today at our dealership (Stillman Volvo). So a black wagon and a silver sedan left now out of the five we had
