I am thinking to purchase a previous loan car 2015 XC60 T6 AWD Platinum. However, I was wondering if there was a difference (if any) with the 2015 and 2015.5 XC60? If yes, what are the added or missing pieces? Thank you all for helping out!
The big difference between the 2 is that the 15.5 was when Connected Car was launched. It includes a new GUI for Sensus as well as new app enhancements.
Some subtle differences can be found on the inside. Frameless rear view mirror + different climate control nobs. I could be wrong but the 15.5 that I looked at in the show room a few weeks back has a different steering wheel vs my 2015.
Biggest differences are the Sensus upgrade and the new option packages.
I have the older system ('15 V60) and the newer one ('15.5 XC60); get the '15.5 if it's within a few $K, as I feel the connectivity, navigation, other electronics enhancements are worthwhile.
My wife's 2015.5 XC60 T5 AWD, Platinum, with 20 inch Perillis, has CTC, Volvo's torque vectoring system, which makes it feel really tied-down on hard cornering. Not sure if that's a change from the 2015 to 2015.5 model.
