So this is kind of a strange one that I have never had to deal with before - I'm having trouble getting in and around the badging clean (Volvo, S60, T6, etc). I think the previous owner didn't take very good care of it on the cleaning side of the house, I've been able to rehab everything else pretty easily except for this. I'm thinking some q-tips would help, but does anyone have a fancy trick I should try out?
IMO, those crevices are the toughest to keep clean... I just do my best, but I wouldn't bother using Qtips to do it. I'm actually thinking about debadging this summer, but worried about the ghosting.
I use this brush, from Griot's Garage. Boar bristles in epoxy with a plastic handle. Same or similar detailing brush is available from many sources. Unlike a toothbrush or Q-tip, this doesn't leave marks on the paint. After I'm done, I protect the bristles by sliding the head into a piece cut from a clear vinyl tube.
