I guess it's eliminated some road noise but no where near as much as I wanted.

      No clips.
Hmmm, that's a shame regarding the sound deadening; I was hoping you'd say you'd achieved Lexus levels of silence on the highway. I actually like having a little sound at idle but can't stand road noise or outside sound intrusion in general once underway. Glad the exhaust sounds awesome though.

      Tell me about it.
After stripping the entire interior to the chassis and proofing everything I was annoyed to see little difference in road feedback. The stereo on the other hand sounds awesome!
Maybe do the inside wheel arches next...
Plus a lot of noise comes in from the windows.

Dynamat is more for vibrations than for noise. A thicker product like 3M Thinsulate Acoustic Insulation works better.

Windows are a huge culprit. Laminated windows used in some of the newer models make a big difference.

And, of course, tires. Tread pattern, compound, and sidewall height are the most significant things for reducing road noise.

      You are 100% correct.
Most of the rattles have been eliminated from the cabin except for some minor squeaks around the dash area.
The doors no longer rattle or provide annoying feedback from heavy bass in songs.

But the exhaust during a cold morning startup is loud and mean. Yet dead quiet inside the cabin when at idle. Just how I want it.

No problem at all. Its only loud when you're on full throttle. Aprt from that, no one baters an eyelid.

However, cold start ups are another story.

I know the feeling.... what are your fumes like between the Ferrita downpipe and Polestar exhaust? Also... any check engine lights due to the rear o2 sensor?

      Heico XC60 Project has begun

Thanks. That helps confirm my suspicion that my Ferrita downpipe has an issue with the cat. I can smell the exhaust, and it’s much louder than I expected and others have shared. I call it an “issue” but I’m sure others would love to have a no cat downpipe. Lol.

Latest mod ( if you call it a mod..)

Replaced the high beams for LED.

      Nighteye LED Headlight

Just have to wait for an opportunity at night to see the difference between the standard halogen vs LED.

I don't think I've ever used my hi beams other than to flash/ signal an oncoming driver.

I use them quite often. When I've been in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where you can see the Aurora Borealis at times and deer and moose run rampant, you definitely need to use brights if you're driving at speed.

They are quite good in this environment from stock if they are the bi-xenon variety.

And then there's my neighborhood, which has zero street lighting for some reason. Curvy streets where I can see if the active bending lights are very noticeable. I use them here as well. I'd love to have the Active High Beams that see other drivers and pedestrians so I'm not blinding them when I'm driving.

New LED high beam lights appear to have an interesting snake eye effect during the day.
Can say they're MUCH better than the halogen bulbs at night!

According to the figures provided by VIVA Performance, the 3.5" performance downpipe will provide a 20hp gain @ wheels.
Heico did some dyno testing with their e.motion software and calculated a 23% loss of power from engine to AWD dyno. As I am yet to put the XC60 on the dyno, I am comfortable with these findings as they seem realistic enough to believe.

No drone at all. Complete dynamat + thermal layering throughout makes the interior rather 'quiet'

Bump. I bought those same LED high beams on your recommendation but I was unsure as to how to remove my factory highs from the headlight assembly. I was able to remove the headlight assembly from the car but couldn’t figure out how to get the bulb out of the housingwithout breaking anything. It was cold and dark out which didn’t help so I gave up pretty quickly, admittedly. Any quick tips before I attempt to dig in again?
