Volvo dealer quoted me $174 for the 600CCA and something stupid like $246 for the 800CCA. I think I'm going to seek another provider. Discussions on Johnson Controls, etc. manufacturers that make all the batteries for everyone else detail is forgotten. What's the best buy at the moment?

Brakes time. Technafit stainless lines OK? OEM better and save money?

Still need to get under there and see where the PS is leaking from...
I'm probably the wrong person to ask but the last time I bought a battery for a P2 wagon I got one from Walmart for a little over $100, something like this. https://www.walmart.com/ip/EverStart...0-CCA/16782659

Volvo batteries are really good so I might be tempted to get one sometime but they're like twice the price of the cheapies. I know, they'll probably last twice as long, lol.

I haven't had to do brake lines on a P2 yet.

I hope your steering rack isn't leaking - maybe it's a loose hose or something. If it's the rack maybe try a stop leak product like Lucas PS stop leak to put the inevitably expensive repair off for a bit.

I’d go iPd for the lines if available. Excellent quality for the money.

I like the fact that they are stainless braided but jacketed as well for corrosion protection.

They’re also a lot cheaper than the blue things. Is there really a reason to have corrosion protection when they’re SS??

170 versus 90. Technfit is probably ok, like Will says. Especially when I may be contending with a leak that could suck a football through a garden hose.

Yea. Stainless sheathed lines are tricky because they won’t show an impending failure before it happens. I’ve had technafit on a few cars without any issues ever. Plus, fcp lifetime warranty!

I had the same stupid look on my face the first time I was there.....looked at my wife like are we in the right place.....and the owner of the pub with whom we have become close, explained what was meant. But that’s the play words and pronunciation I was shooting for. Glad some are picking it up.

I think I put goodrich lines in the R, they still work great 3 years later. That said all not sure if these are compatible but I just picked these up for my Rover and the quality of these blows away anything I've seen. They are stainless but also lined with clear rubber outside and the ends are way more reinforced + Teflon liners. https://www.roverparts.com/brakes/kits/ABP218/

Thanks. Those are about the same cost as the IPD ones.

I think it was you who got the agm battery a while back. Dude offered me the option yesterday and I said no because it was a good 30% more and someone here said it was troublesome. I looked again and the date on mine and it was November 2011.
The guy said, “Is this your daily?” I nodded. “Clean. That’s probably why the battery has lasted this long because you drive it all the time.”
This place is rated very well and I’ve used them before. They test CCA at zero not 32 like some battery companies he said. 155 for 740 and four year warranty. I’ll take the one from the XC there next week and get 12 so 143 isn’t bad in my opinion.

I did pick up a Bosch Group 49 (Pretty sure that was the group) AGM but have been running the Anti-Gravity Rs-30 for the past 2 years. Had the same Bosch in the A4 avant and Bmw 328i, and zero issues. They are a great deal if you can get them on a black friday deal. That said, I LOVE my anti-gravity both for the weight reduction and the on/off button is the best thing every created (As someone who constantly tweaks with things).

Well, I Got out there to do it and wrong fing size. Knew I should have measured it. The hold down would not fit.
