You have a point there. Mechanical things DO, though. I知 thinking more in terms of the 4C themselves. I wonder how hard they work one way or the other. Tougher to dampen or to keep stiff?

Just don't use advanced on rough roads and you'll be fine. I wouldn't worry about proper use of the car causing excessive wear and tear. Just look at my T-5R or Peter's R. It's the gently driven cars that always have all the problems.

Do you still have the original 4C struts in your car?

I always got a little queasy driving in Comfort in mine and Advanced shook the glovebox door a little too much so I only drove in Sport.

Fronts were replaced via maronha assistance but no because I had errors - because they were worn badly.
I kept it in sport for the last 50K (my ownership) and used the advanced twice for about 2 minutes. The only time I remember pushing comfort before was during the test drive before buying to make sure I saw no errors.

Either the new guy took off for the holidays, or he quit. My space may be back in my possession...
      Happy New Year, all.

I started this recipe Saturday morning by soaking the oatmeal, and will finish it tonight for guests of the household. Better than traveling anywhere, and this is like candy. Just don't heed the advice about making porridge the next morning. I tried in the last time and it was awful! LOL!

      ZZZZZZZ's thread

      Started the year off right...
Replaced the bulb in the XC rear plate on PS (bulb housing crumbled like they all do); replaced the upper mount and lower torque on the XC; replaced the oil filler gasket on XC- it was super brittle. Washed the filthy s60 and the hipster black wheels are silver again; replaced the oil filler gasket on the s60 too.

Got hungry for lunch and stopped outdoor stuff for the day or I壇 have replaced the windshield nozzles in the hood on the VR and the cabin filter. I値l do that next weekend when I change my oil. I was also going to pull the s60 mirror caps and paint them black but it started to get a little cooler out. I should have done that in the warmer part of the day with sun to dry.

New neighbor walked by and noticed all five of my bikes hanging in the garage and said, 添ou may like bikes more than I do! LOL

The s60 has brighter lights now with a new application of chemical guys on the plastic and the new FL bulb. I think I need to polish some plastic this coming spring...

Nice! Sounds like you had a productive day haha. When my headlights got rough I had Lehman in York resurface them and UV coat them, they're still clear like four years later

I watched a video with a guy who had hideous lights on his Audi and he refinished them and added 3m PPF. They looked astoundingly better so that might be my next effort.

Not difficult to do. Remove lights. Sand them down. Apply UV cured clear coat. Put under a UV light for 10 minutes. Reinstall. As good or better than new.

Any good cheap sources and methods to replace the Volvo badge on the front of my R?
A bit weathered, and I'd like OEM, but 50 bucks from Tasca??
eBay has em for 20 bucks from Latvia, OEM. Is it a pry off and re-stick a new one on deal?

Ian, are you looking for the whole mark or just the blue 天olvo lettering inside it? I got the lettering for my XC90 for about 10 bucks from iRollParts (Volvo dealer in Phoenix) via Amazon. This is the link for that one, but they may have the size for your R also. Genuine Volvo Grille Emblem Badge Fits: S40,V50,XC90,C30,C70,S80,S60 (Smaller Emblem) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WNL47BC..._BRHdEbSK90Y9H

Pretty easy to remove the old with a hair dryer/heat gun and stick the new one on.

Dang, I just went to their direct website to see if I could find yours (couldn稚). Wish I壇 done that in the first place instead of going through Amazon -$4.30 for mine! Quite a markup in S&H for 吐ree Amazon shipping.

No reason to wash despite 60 degree day in mid January. It痴 going to pound rain and I have to drive in it. But, I changed oil, did a visual inspection, pulled the hood blanket and replaced these, which had broken.

Pulling the blanket is easy. Clips are brittle so warmer the better but i managed not to lose or break any. Loosened the small clip/director on passenger side for the hose, pulled slack to get to the connector, pulled old one off and didn稚 let go of the connector for fear of it disappearing into the hood, pushed the new one through the hood and onto the connector. Cleaned the hood where it sits and snapped it into place carefully. Did this to both sides.

Small improvements and successes. Also replaced the wiper arm covers on both sides as they were badly faded and one broke.

Saw another VR with weird wheels I didn稚 like and waved as I snapped him.
