Those that have purchased winter tires and have actually used them in the snow, can you please comment on your individual tires. I am trying to choose among Nokian Hakkas R2 SUV, Michelin latitudes xice xi2, Blizzak DM-V2, and Continental WinterContact SI. Thanks in advance
Just installed our winter tires last weekend but haven't had any real snow yet. Once we get some snow I can comment then on my DMV2's I'm sure either of those tires will do a great job vs all season.
I've had X-ice xi2 winter tires on multiple cars, including my xc90, and I like them a lot. They tend to ride quiet compared to other winter tires I've had, and they stop well (most importantly).
Two weeks ago I fitted 235/60/R18 Volvo wheels with Continental WinterContact tyres. So far they've been very good although no deep snow yet. The ride is much smoother and quieter than the standard-fit summer tyres which are Pirelli.
Had Nokian Hakkas R2 SUV... loved them. Pricey but very good. Didn't go that route on the XC90 this time around.
