I've had one dead battery in my 2015.5 xc60 too. I use a battery minder on mine now to keep it topped up. Other thing I've noticed is that it uses up radiator coolant relatively fast. But other than that it runs great.

Have had the fuel tank pressure valve go but that's it mechanically, only other thing was the lower door chrome bubbled but that was changed out under warranty.
I have the 2014, only warranty claim I have had was for the rear 3rd brake light, it was installed incorrectly from factory so they replaced it. You would have to pry it out of my dying hands with a very large pry bar.
I have a '15.5 and we've been pretty happy with the car. When we were shopping we wanted pano roof, front and rear parking sensors with rear camera, and blind spot and there weren't very many vehicles that offered that, especially in a mid-size 5 passenger crossover.
We've a had a few problems - battery, one of the axles had to be replaced, and from time to time the radio mysteriously turns itself on when the car is parked in the garage. All of those items were in the first 9 months of ownership. Car has settled down since then and I think we will be holding onto it for awhile.
Mileage averages around 22 mpg which I think is pretty good for the 6 cyl T6 motor.
We have two 2015.5's. One T6 AWD, and one T6 Drive E FWD.
The T6 AWD is a much smoother ride when accelerating. But the significantly better gas mileage offsets the comfort loss of the Drive-E.
I drive 50 miles per day in the Drive-E which is leased. I think I'll keep it when the lease ends in November, unless the 2018 refresh tempts me too much.
Can't recall any problems with either vehicle in over two years. Well, check the doors when you buy. The left passenger door on the T6 AWD doesn't close quite as easily as the other doors but I always forget to mention that when getting annual service.
Except for some relatively small things, you all sound happy! Anybody have the non turbo 3.2? Reviews say it is slow, but is it really that bad? Not sure if you can get AWD with it anyway.
This is my current car. There is twice as much snow in the current storm. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a204/rudsaki/P1030950_zps20rui7oh.jpg
One car I was looking at. They say not to get white cars in snow country, but maybe the pearl would still stand out? ;-) 5 years left on the CPO warranty.
You can get the NA 3.2 motor in AWD configuration.
The car in the ad you posted looks nice but you may want to look for one with the BLIS package, which includes front and rear parking sensors, blind spot warning, and cross traffic alert. For only a few more dollars this package has saved me on a number of occasions. Cross traffic alert warns you when you are backing out of a parking space and a car is coming up the lane and you can't see it - very useful. Miles seem kind of high on that one too. Colors are a personal preference and I don't really know pricing at this point.
The biggest difference is that the '15.5 has the updated Sensus infotainment system that has standard NAV and built-in apps such as Pandora. You do have to add the car as a device to your AT&T cell plan if you want to be able to use the apps though the NAV works without it.
I have a 2015.5 T6 R-Design. Great Car! Absolutely no problems. I am a high mileage driver just turning 60k miles in 2 years. My 5th Volvo & the most comfortable (seats) & most fun (T6) to drive.
Ours has been relatively good thus far. We have a '15 T6 AWD with the 3.0 Turbo V6 and the motor has been fairly strong. I just hit 30k miles and had it's service done this past week. Issues I've had thus far include a worn out wheel bearing at 12k miles, adding oil between service intervals at 17k miles and 24k miles, and a need for an alignment. Alignment is mostly due to the roads, but everything else has been mechanical. I always keep a spare liter of oil in the trunk just in case the low oil indicator goes off, but I'm coming to learn I should probably just do an oil change at 5k miles just to make sure it's not burning too much oil between intervals.
Gas mileage has been 19-20 mpgs mixed city/highway driving, but it's worth it for good torque down low with the turbo 6!
This is our second XC60. We have the 2015.5 with the 5 cylinder engine. The first was a 2011.5 with the 3.2. We had far less issues with the first one except it ended up starting to burn oil around 30,000 miles, so we traded up.
With our current one we have had a rattle in the back that took many shop visits to fix. Then we had the fuel level sensor fail and an electrical fault that would short out the car and cut power steering when you hit the brakes with any force. Ended up being a crimped wire the dealer caused when the dropped the gas tank to fix the level sensor.
Currently chasing down a fluid smell that crops up about 10 minutes after you shut the car off.
Overall, I feel this is uncharacteristic of the brand but our local dealer network is not strong when it comes to service. Will eventually move on from the brand when the time is right and the financial hit isn't so bad.
I have a 2015.5 XC60 and I am trying to find out where to add rear washer fluid. The front reservoir is full, but the back washer won't spray anything.
Is there another reservoir for back washer? or do I have another problem?
Sorry for the amateur question, but I've been looking all over and can't find it.
Only one water reservoir in the front. Perhaps a broken/pinched/blocked hose... Or maybe the rear nozzle is blocked? Have you allowed sufficient time (held the rear water spray button) for the water to reach the back (the rear spray button is on the end of the wiper control stalk it is separate to the front sprayers)
Thanks, I'll try to check the nozzle. Don't know how I'll ever find it if there is a hose problem.
It used to work, so I just thought it was just empty. A least I won't waste anymore time looking for the tank
