Yeah that makes sense. Though it also seems that, in the US at least, so many cars (Volvo or otherwise) don't have many a la carte options. Most things are part of a package/trim level, which defeats the purpose of a factory build since you can't customize things very much.

I realy want a new car... ??? does it make sense? Ooohhh decisions. Will these cars make it to 500.000km/310.000sm with preventive and scheduled maintenance? Why do I want something new? For the HK stereo, Leather Dash, keyless entry, ..lane departure, ACC... Sensus... on Call, illuminated Inscription on the door entry, illuminated coffee cup holders, passenger flood lights, Pedestrian detection/autobrakes, adaptive Suspension FOUR-C?
Do I need that? I have been fine so far.

Ran the T6 ~1,000km over two days, mostly highway (120-140KPH and 0o to -5oC). Shell Gold 91 exclusively.
Mileage calculated by the pump/odometer method: average 10.9l/00 or 21.6 US MPG. For comparison, I routinely ran (highway) winter ~8l/00 in my former 2.4T and about summer 8.6 in the T5M (assuming I stay off the loud pedal)
/and, of course, the bloody car threw a CEL

Nice subject. Been driving without the skibox lately and decided to do a few eco runs with the D5MY2011... for weeks...no braking, anticipation, slowly rolling away from a green light. Mix city highways.
Etc etc. I broke my personal record and got it down to 7.1L/100
Cant get it any lower... did all the possible.

According to the computer I'm averaging 23.2 mpg on 91 or 93 octane since I got the car, but the calculation method puts it at 22.5 mpg. Pretty even mix of city and highway driving, though my 'city' driving probably has less stop and go than most.

Sounds like you have no mirrored sunglasses sheriffs hanging around your town. Like they will get you anytime.
By the way is anybody listening to Jason Isbell at all on Swedespeed. I am covering multiple songs of him. Performing in bars etc. Will send vids if you want. Anyway, this guy is changing music and lyrics and Nashville at once. Wow. Huge fan. Check him out. He also drives the XC70.

Installed "Antracit/Off-black" Panel (39810536) and Blind (39870904) using both VIDA and also the "volvosweden" tutorial on YouTube (huge thanks to Yuri for another of his in-depth videos). A bit fiddly, takes an hour or so. You'll need TORX 15 and 20 sockets and drivers, a longish, slim flat blade screwdriver- and a VOLVO "bone" tool makes things simpler. I warmed up the car interior to "hot" (it's ~ 0oC now)- I did not want to snap any plastic tabs.
Not cheap, but I prefer a dark console. A used black leather S80 arm rest arrives this week from Erie Volvo. Job then done!

Yuri is a Canadian (Russian?) guy who uploads his brilliant P3 "how to" videos:

Only Eric can confirm but I think he went from this:

And replaced the console with this along with a black cupholder cover & armrest/lid:

That's why I'm intrigued to see how it looks in a beige interior.
Volvo Sweden did this:
