Kissed my wife, she has the smaller D4 (left) version with hardly any options...but she doesnt care. She just drives it.

      And he installed scuff plates:

What did you do with your XC70/V70 (2008+) today?

Thinking about 15mm + 15mm HEICO Spacers front and back. Anybody good or bad experiences with Spacers? Thanks. (Ordered them anyway from Germany today...)

      Pics will follow...

And also the HEICO SPORTIV Sport airfilter. Waist of money? They claim: The sport air filter replaces the series paper air filter and provides a 40% higher air flow rate compared to the original. €118

Filter on the picture doesn't look like it will fit a P3 Volvo. I think the stock filters are good for 300+ hp or something like that. I think they're the same and if so then they're good for the 330 hp T6's, so...

Spacers might help with the looks but I think they may mess with suspension geometry and stuff. I just vaguely recall engineering explained doing a video on them sometime.

      Dear (XC70,... me that is)

as the XC70 is mainly a front wheel driven car the track at the front is a little wider comparing to the rear.

If you add 20mm spacers at the front and 30mm at the rear you will reduce this gap which means your car will get more "nervous" while driving straight.

So, if you want to reduce this I would recommend you to install the same thickness at the front and rear.

Regarding to the front badge: It comes with several installation materials and supports so you should be able to install it to any kind of grills.

Anyhow the grill must be removed out of the front bumper to get access.

Mit besten Grüßen / with kind regards

So just ordered mine ...€125 per wheel @ 15mm (x4) HEICO OEM. They also say it dampens the roll just a bit. Anyway, its all about looks. Pics asap.

My old beige one starts to loose its looks...this one on order asap...r-design. Will not loose its paint (on top) that quick imho.

      31259373

      Current:

Considered the 2014 shifter but this would match the die hard interior much better:

Ps but but but I will miss the chrome on the side...maybe just order the non R design again... any comments?

From what I've heard, anything over 18" and the ride comfort starts to degrade:

What did you do with your XC70/V70 (2008+) today?

      Installed HEICO 15mm (30mm total).

Extremely happy, huge difference. Fills it up nicely. Handles (8%—- ??) better, not much but thats fine. Pics difficult to show difference; highly recommended. In the front its more noticeable it seems. Improves the nose of the car very much, more complete, fuller. No vibrations at high and or low speed. HEICO bolts extra long with a different/better look. Not 19” but I would call them by the looks of it 18-1/2” lol. Able to pass these square speedbumps without the “bump”.

      Front is now 100% flush...!

Edit: HEICO wrote me: Dear Mr (...),

Cant say the word but I will try the other way around: It looks fothermucking lovely!!!

CrossingCountries: can you post overview pictures of the cars before and after adding the spacers? I can tell the wheels are further out on the pictures but I can't tell if I like it or not yet.

Now that will be difficult to capture. We are talking 15mm and try to picture that! I can buy you a tax only ticket and you can have a look yourself. Its very difficult to take pics of it before and after. Now I have a question for you. Can you adjust your side mirror and see your rear wheel from the drivers seat? (I CAN BUT I DID NOT CHECK THE BEFORE) The difference before n after is a world of difference trust me. A buddy of mine send me pics after his upgrade and I couldnt see a thing either. I hear you... let me try. There is no reason NOT (again, trust me, money well spend) to like it. Give me 1reason why wheels that fill up more is less cool? 18-½ looks better than 18”? I would never go for 20mm per side... too much.

Edit: the car rolls a tiny bit less too!

Went to the garage and took a pic with mud on the rear RH tire. The mud is the difference I guess. The mud is on the far edge of the 18# tire with mudflaps. Again; pics not easy. Real life 100%

I am almost willing to pay for your spacers. And when you like them you pay me back! Im not kidding. Now thats a VOLVO lover.

Here a nice thread, didnt have time to read it but lotsa info on spacers in general.

      https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...-wheel-spacers

      I ordered them here:

      https://www.heicosportiv.de/en/model...duktdetail/821

Edit: tried the same route as always today. The car is significantly more stable with 15mm per side. Not kidding not trying to sell but it is noticeable for sure. Less roll and the tires dont squeek anymore where at times they used to taking the turn a bit too sharp. Its a cruiser, I know guys, not a V60RD. YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO

Those tips on the BSR system look terrible. I actually like the original tips but if I were to switch on my S80 then I'd go for 2x2. But I'm not sure that's a look any diesel can pull off, it's typically reserved for BMW M-cars and AMG Mercedes's.

BSR are a pretty known name in Sweden and their software tunes are pretty common but I have no clue if their exhausts are any good. Are you doing it for the sound or for the performance, or both?

What did you do with your XC70/V70 (2008+) today?

The sound and looks...dont look all that bad imho. Its a special system for the XC70 D5 AWD... Will perhaps gain some HP but thats not the idea at all. You think they look bad? Hmmmm. Let me have a look again.

Added the IPD under engine protection plate - much more robust than the paper nonsense that shipped with the car. I would recommend anyone with a T6 do this asap. For other engines, the holes may not line up for accessing, among other things, the drain plug, without dropping the plate. Big fan.

Also added the IPD Sway bar and HD endlinks - this, before anything else (well, maybe the P* package if you have a t6) needs to go on the car. It takes much of the x-axis floatiness out of the car, while maintaining the compliant ride. A+

Thx for sharing. Think you did the right thing. I want it too but when never driving offroad but just hitting potholes is it realy needed?. Is it a feeling more then anything? Perhaps?

The IPD is a must on US cars, I agree. I installed IPD plus endlinks but the difference was a 3% gain imho. (Wrong decision) So IPD for US models yes but for EU models I would say go for Pstar instead. Or place 4X 15mm HEICO spacers. Fantastic roll-improvement.

I had the plate installed as an insurance measure - yes we have potholes, but we also have ice that falls off trucks, poorly cleared highways, and other assorted crap that loves to bounce under your car and wreak havoc - in short, I feel better knowing my wagoon is wearing a cup....

We also installed the aluminium skid plate (Volvo not the IPD one) as soon as we got our XC70.

Every time I do an oil change I inspect it for damage, so far there is nothing. However with the really bad roads and the fact we take ours on bad dirt tracks (aka 4WD trails) to hiking trail heads it's a great peace of mind.

If I lived in a built up city (aka Singapore) I'd never get it. Living in Colorado and doing shocking roads it's a great bonus.
