      Garage time on the C70

Spent a couple hours on the C70 now that the weather is warming up.

Changed the spark plugs, rear shocks, and passenger motor mount today.

I believe all of them were original to the car with 100,000 miles on the clock.

The motor mount made a huge difference in the amount of vibration at idle.

Now I need to do the front struts next.

      nice!

sometimes the best "upgrades" are just getting your car back to driving like new by replacing worn parts. if you haven't done the engine-torque mount, that's a great "upgrade" by replacing the worn one with the ford e-focus mount. major noticeable improvement in the shifting performance.

Good work. I've done the spark plugs and the rear shocks, both made a big difference. Definitely worth replacing early. The shocks in particular really quieted things down (done at 70k miles). I did the plugs at ~50k miles and will probably do them again soon (I'm at 85k miles).

I haven't done the motor mount as I have not noticed any excessive vibration. Will keep an eye on it.

It feels good to get some stuff done even if just getting that "new" stock feeling back.

The front struts need to be done now and I want to add a strut tower brace.

      Maybe someday a tune.

My motor mount went around 55k miles 2 years go....

....and like some of you above, I decided before any performance mods that I would get my '07 back to as new / stock. Just did the shifter boot. Headlamp assemblies, trunk pistons, axel boots, wiper blades, fuel pump sensor, alignment, battery, various bulbs, headliner re-glue, bodywork, paint, carpets all done in the last year. Only thing left is IAM module, and I got a 20% coupon on any parts / service from my local dealer, so will probably do that next. I was able to do a lot of the above myself too, which is really satisfying.

Maybe we need a "what have you done to your C70" post like most of the other sub forums?

Yes, that would be great. How does that get done? Ya know c70 owners are in a class by themselves. just saying......

Well all it would take to get it started would be for someone to post a new thread with that title.... not altogether sure there's enough of us doing enough stuff to keep the thread interesting though
