Selling my yellow T-5R sedan. My initial plan was to fix this up for a daily and I started doing a few things to it but, shortly after I got it, a 2007 S60 T5 M66 very unexpectedly fell in my lap at a price I couldn't refuse.....now I have too many projects so this one has to go to free up time, space, and funding for my red 850R build. It has a RIP Kit, IPD sways, and Eibachs with Koni FSDs. I'm also including a M56H and 850 manual shifter that I had allocated to this car (I am absolutely not touching my T-5R and my 850R is getting a M66 so I have no use for a M56). I would recommend transporting this car to its new home on a trailer as this is definitely a project car. 186k, odometer appears to have been functional for the entire life of the car thus far.
LOL yeah I'm done buying cars that will get their own threads for a while.....anything in the near future will be a parts car. Hopefully the next car I buy to actually add to the fleet will be a Citroën SM!
I haven't driven other than on and off of uhaul trailers and haven't spent a lot of time with it so I honestly don't know what all it needs. Two issues I am aware of that would be an issue are that it needs new ignition parts (has a misfire) and the power steering isn't working so well.
That's what I thought too until I bought this S60! But now I'm out of time/space/money for this project. Seriously this one would keep you entertained for a while if you're running out of things to do on yours LOL.
What have you done to this car since you purchased it that would justify the massive price increase? Remember how you posted the Craigslist for sale ad in your other thread. Their asking price was $800, you probably paid $500, if I was to guess.
There is nothing wrong with buying low and selling high. Jared obsesses over Craigslist to find every car that comes available, and is willing to move fast to snap them up. To the seller this was just a beat 20-year old car. Turning around and asking a fair price to an audience that knows why this car could be special is completely legit.
If I knew this car would be up for the 1,100 mile drive home issue free, I'd be on the next plane out! (trying to find a P2 for my son, but, hey, this could work!)
Well you could manual swap it! I have a M56 I'd like out of my way that could be negotiated in the deal I've been waiting to put on FB/CL as I have a SS member scheduled to look at it this weekend. If he doesn't take it, it'll go up on FB/CL....probably for like $2500 lol because those guys are always a pain in the ass to deal with.
Thanks! Loving the S60 so far. My only significant gripe about it is that it is a S60 lol, but that also makes it a great daily because now if I ever get hit I can just throw away the S60 shell and move everything into a clean V70 shell .
Not quite in a sale pending situation yet but I have a very seriously interested long-distance buyer I'm currently working on a deal with so I'm not accepting any additional offers for now. Will update if that changes.
Good for you. Who snagged it? Never mind. I see the sig.
