Take your old pressed arms , just in case the shorter cast R ones are causing trouble.

Not gonna happen. The new arms let the suspension articulate much better than before and the control arms arenít pushed back. Theyíre meant for lowered cars and this is quite obviously lowered. Also I would not ever pay the dealer the 3+ hours it takes to swap them.

      Alignment went well

Interesting that I was able to get the rear toe that close visually. Could be luck

That is pretty cool that you were able to get it that close.
Dealer alignments are nice. The right choice.

Only place that will touch the rear. Which is very important on this car.

Man, it's always the toe on these cars. I've had alignments on a P80, P2, and P3 the past three months and toe was the only thing that was out on all three of them, lol.

Made it all super easily adjustable which is nice. Screwing with multilink gets messy.

Thought the rear "R" arms were cast aluminum? Noticed they don't have what looks like a spring protector (or road grit deflector?)

I recall the FWD rear IPD bar install was harder than expected and required removal of one shock.

I left the shocks in but the arms were fully dropped. Thereís no fun way to do rear end work on these cars.

Sound level drop was immediately noticeable cruising on the highway with the front glass replaced. Ear in front of B pillar nice and quiet, behind B pillar wind and road noise. Now to find non tinted rear wagon laminated glass.

While visiting family over the holiday I noticed both of their '07 XCs have laminated rear glass (both doors), but not front (again, both doors). You happen to know why that could be (short of both windows being replaced on both cars by the POs)?

In the UK if you optioned rear full tint , it came with only rear side door laminated glass. Unless you ticked the option for laminated glass then you got all four door windows. This is for late P2 cars.

Probably the same for US cars.
A bit odd I know, but it does say it, in the small print in the broacher.

I am glad that it makes a difference to the interior sound level, as
I have a set of four to go in my car.
Just got to fix the rest of it first.

Interestingly the P3 cars had the option of all the glass being laminated, including the boot, and fixed windows, as on two of my previous cars.

The one glass is newer, is it a Late S60 one or has been changed, as the date stamp is 2008?I believe all the late laminated front glass came with water replant coating. I think it say in the hand book that you will need to reapply it after five years or so. Is so I am wondering if it can be applied to normal glass , like a super grade rainX to last five years.

I hope you had some new blue sliders when you fitted it.
As they love to go brittle and snap, so dropping the glass.

Yes all the window slides are new genuine volvo. Greased up and went together rather easily.

Could be the case, one car has factory rear tint and no front, the other has aftermarket tint on all windows (well, NYS made them take the front off because it was too dark) and so the rears might have factory under the aftermarket. Though my 06 has factory tint on all windows (less on front) and only the rears are E5 as well, I just noticed. Huh. I just had assumed either all 4 or none, apparently not the case!

If you go on that road trip. Swing by my place. I am off of 95 in Jacksonville FL. I will take you to a restaurant I built that does Florida style shrimp and girts. It's like a shrimp and grit baked like a cake mix. Restaurant is called Florida Cracker Kitchen.

Both cleared. Sucks cause i was using trip 2 to track the entire trip and trip 1 for self calculated tank MPG
