I think those would look great on other colors. Maybe youíre right with the belt line molding. If black it might break up the silver-ness.

Interesting issue arises. When I accelerate in first gear I get a total system brain fart, reduced engine performance message and while the engine doest die, it barely runs. Happened twice yesterday. First thought was ETA, scanned the wagon, literally no difference in throttle position sensors. No new codes set either.

Well, some trace evidence of what happened to my engine performance the other day got sniffed up in vida.

      ECM981A Torque Too High.

Damn car making more power than itís supposed to .

DSTC turned off and test driven, no issues.

Time for new rear end links and a full timing belt replacement. Just as soon as it stops raining of course.

A badge of honor! Thought that the manual transmission P2's did not have any torque limiters programmed in. Was this with the new sticky summer tires?

Oh no thereís deff torque limits in 1st and 2nd. Turn off DSTC and boot on it in first gear and see what happens. Theyíve been massaged during tuning as was pedal sensitivity but theyíre still there.

I wasnít even launching the car. That has not and never will happen. Just rolling on it decently in first gear. Slingshot effect of sorts

So, with infinite grip, DSTC will still limit torque in 1st and 2nd gears?

Yes. Car doesnít know itís physical grip levels, just the reactive power and torque produced. A lot of the joy of having a quaife is turning dstc off and enjoying the change in driving dynamics in first gear, just not absolutely hooning on it.

      I did not!

However as of late Iíve been making Cuban espresso and neglecting to grind my own. It made quite the impression when I was in the keys.

I had the Encore for a while. It was too loud and would wake up my kids in the mornings on occasion. I enjoyed it though!

Got a Breville Smart Grinder Pro and itís been great over the past couple years. A lot quieter since itís not plastic, and Iíve got it dialed in for my V60 I make every morning.

Hereís my coffee setup on a coffee bar my dad and I made a few years ago.

That thing looks like a more complicated Aeropress. Is that what it is?

Did you have the beans ground at the store or how did you go from whole bean to espresso ground without grinding it yourself?

Had read somewhere that the DTSC's effects can be gradually reduced, e.g. press the button three times to turn it completely off, or something along those lines.

If a tire with greater grip doesn't slip, then no DTSC correct? But still torque limiters.

Am under the general impression that the P2 R's as well as the later P2 XC70s have forward front control arm bushings that are solid, and might reduce wheel hop, better putting down power, maybe at the expense of ride quality.

ANd yes, the quiafe definitely transforms the driving dynamics, wish I had done it sooner. Both corner exit wheelspin reduction, and not getting the car stuck in 5 inches of snow due to one wheel peel

I have poly powerflex forward control arms bushings with xc70 rears.

DSTC is much more than wheelspin control but thatís where itís most obvious. Acceleration, yaw, steering angle, throttle position, requested throttle percentage, brake pedal position, brake pedal force, clutch pedal position are all part of it to name the easy ones.
