It started making an annoying sound around 15k ago, but never failed. I replaced it around 10k or so ago with a used angle gear. Axles, prop shaft, etc all seem to handle it just fine. Keep in mind that I don't do hard launches with the car.

I have a Draggy which I purchased to document performance, but I haven't had enough seat time with it yet. I'm a busy guy with 4 young kids so I don't have the time to get out and flog the car as much I'd like to. That said, I can assure you that it's much quicker than stock, LOL. The main point to me is that after nearly 12 years of owning it, I finally got the R I always wanted. It is quick enough to put a smile on my face every time I mash the pedal and that's all that really matters. This turbo delivers instant acceleration and just keeps pulling. It's not a drag car nor track car just a fun street car that serves as my daily driver. There are few cars I would replace it with... a C7 Audi S6 with some choice upgrades or an Audi RS3 with a turbo upgrade might persuade me, but this R is a ton of fun and would always be missed if I ever did that... I have no plans to sell it all being said.
We are waiting for measurements. After all, for the sake of them we make tuning our cars))

Thank you for your blue print to a successful build. Great information on how to successfully build an R. I plan on borrowing some of these ideas. Hope you don’t mind.

Not sure what you’re trying to say here, but you should take another look at that drain line. Looked good on the mock-up, but I think you need more drop on the final product.

your comment abundantly irrelevant since that pic was taken i've put on 23,000 miles and it is in the same exact angle as the oem k24 oil return piping...lol...also and im certain you are not " high-level fabricator " thus making that comment non-pertinent to you or your setup...have a nice evening ...

Never said I was a high level fabricator..... but I will say that “Dougy’s way” isn’t the only or even necessary the best way.

Braided steel lines and AN fittings are perfectly suitable if not superior for the right application.

You need to be mindful about making others feel inferior when there are many ways to accomplish the same success.

never said brained lines are not suitable, but they certainly are not superior longevity wise...ask me how I know.

Braided lines certainly work and offer a solid option for someone who can't fab everything up from hard metal. Need to be properly heat sleeved where extreme heat is at play though!! Ask me how I know too. LOL

absolutely true...meant for 100-200-300,000 miles ...they will NOT outlast hard lines...if they would every manufacture out there would be slapping them on right out of factory...thats what i meant

rubber vs ss brake lines...good listen...and then give thought braided oil line vs steel and longevity.

Stumbled across this photo of my drain line setup and thought I’d share. The line is -10AN and the turbo side fitting the a low profile vibrant. The block end is fashioned from the seal end of the factory drain line welded to a -10AN male flare. It uses an OEM seal and works great.
