      My 2007 XC70

Thank you all for the kind words, I really love this car. The brakes were powder coated and then I got high temp stickers from sweetgfx.com. She specializes in Volvo graphics and was very helpful. I then put a few layers of high temp clear over the stickers.

All the interior is aluminum as well, from a T5

I was gonna comment too. Awful looking shoes but I have a pair in black from whenever they were kinda in. My wife bought for me and I only wore to family dinners at in-laws or friendsí houses. So comfortable but you canít use em for anything anymore but... maybe car work and yard work!

      Brakes and car look great.

Crocs are sweet. I fish the Potomac a lot and they are perfect for wading. Until you get a tan of small dots on your feet lol

Oil change with Mobil 0w40 and Mahle filter. Also replace the dipstick tube seal as it was leaking a bit.

Yes and they donít stop for sh*t. Make your project actually worthwhile and put some oem or equivalent but actually sticky pads on. Pagid, hawk, Brembo whatever. Use sil-glyde or other brake parts lube on the back of the pads and the slider pins. These cars have a surprising amount of knockback and itís likely thatís causing a loose initial pad under braking and creating the squeal.

I know I wish I would have read more into them before I purchased the akebonos. But I already dropped $170 on the set and I highly doubt I can return pads. I try more sil-glyde and see if it helps any. Thank you

Rear seat entertainment! A life safer on a long trip if you have kids! MY2005 didn't have it, had to install headrests from 06 or 07 myself and solder/program some Arduino to turn displays on.

I emailed FCP looking for an answer on the different part numbers for their Hawk pads. I have R calipers now and donít like the akebono pads. If anyone knows the difference between the part numbers and can help it would be greatly appreciated

Those Reign's are good aren't they? I used to buy them from this sketchy place and they always carded me... made me question a lot of things.

What the heck response is that. 381mm brakes?

If you want the Hawk pads that stop you want the HPS F/5.0's: Hawk HB453F.585. those are the fronts. HB194B570 is the rear. Get some sonax wheel cleaner you'll need it!

Thanks Scottish! I have no idea. I argued back that they were 330mm brakes from the R and based on the vin I supplied they are base 286mm brakes so I have no idea. She was very confused so I came here

FCP's site and knowledge base is a bit screwy when its correct and altogether wrong a lot more of the time. Its best to go by PN's where possible.

Put on the IPD sway bars and new end links this morning. Really tightened everything up.

I like the wheel / tire fit!! I am way behind on projects, have the IPD bars and Moog links in the garage just behind from work. Did a great 2,500 mi road trip thru Ohio & Mich no issues no oil usage but wish I would have had time to replace the sway bars! Soon

      Wagon looks great!

Thanks jerry! And drevolvo. Hope you figured out the wing I stall. Itís pretty simple. There are ďtargetsĒ on the top of the tailgate on the inside that you drill into to. On the outside I had to drill a larger hole so that the wind fit flush. Then I used 3M double tape and bolted her down

Brake squeal again. I have R Brembos, Brembo rotors and Volvo pads. I used plenty of brake grease on ALL contact surfaces. Any ideas as to why I canít get rid of this squeal for more than a few day after applying grease? I had akebono pads and they were unbearably loud so I went with Volvo and they are still loud

Iím not sure. I did twin installs on the XC and the s60 this summer in the same weekend and the XC makes zero noise while the s60 squeals. Identical setups...

You mentioned Synthetic oil. Did you just start using it or has it always had it? If just started, any leaks?
IF IT AIN'T BROKE - DON'T FIX IT!
04 Volvo XC70 5LT 120k Ruby Red - Nice hiway ride, stiff and bouncy in city, problematic door locks and tendency to lock you out, deteriorating moulding trims, groaning steering column (fixed).... this car has one too many error codes. Good thing I got it for a hand-me-down price. The only redeeming quality of this XC70 is its a wagon.
07 Honda Accord V6 115k Silver - Great ride, Problem Free
07 Honda Accord L4 110k Bronze - Great ride, Problem Free
96 MB C220 330k (Parked) Silver - Great ride, Head gasket and wiring harness replaced at 315k (can't complain at that mileage)

I used it since the first oil change of my ownership in March of 2017. The previous owner likely used conventional based on the amount of sludge that was in the motor and PCV system.

I would highly recommend synthetic in any car. If it does leak (it wonít) you can just switch back
