      Misc Heater Stuff

I need a quick win project on my Amazon, so I decided to tackle the various heater crap I've left unattended since I put the motor back in. A few questions for the esteemed forum squad:

      - My defrost hoses are shot (mine were the paper ones). VP has them but for $50/pr for the plastic ones. Is there an aftermarket alternative I could grab at NAPA, etc that might work and save me some dollars?
      - Cleaning up the heater controls. I got a new plastic decal for it, but can't quite figure out how it goes on. Does it just wedge between the dash and heater control?

      Thanks!
      Mike

Also: has anyone here used the Heatblok firewall / trans tunnel blankets? My 'hay mat' insulation is long gone and it's getting hot in there...

Searches for cheaper alternatives are coming up short. 1.75in ID blower hose doesn't seem easy to find. I'll try to swing by some of the oddball parts shops in town this weekend.

Summit has this, but I'd likely need 2.
Ebay has this, but at $12/ft it's not any cheaper.

$50 just feels like way too much for some defrost hose.

Just extricated this one out of one of my parts cars, good as it looks...
It’s mate doesn’t want to let go as easily from above, but retrievable with care and patience that I just don’t have right now.

If I get the juice to pull it I’d send them to you for whatever you think is fair, if you haven’t come up with a better plan...

No better luck yet... I'll send you a PM.
