      1996 Volvo 850R Red Sedan

      I started restoring this car, but don't have time. It still needs works, but overall a good start. All 5 Volans, seats in good condition, correct mats and "R" owners manual present. Engine is sound, but needs PCV serviced, speedo gear repaired, paint polished and waxed.

      Is this car sold yet? If not would like to know what needs to be “restored” cause it would be a fly and drive situation and the drive would be to Dallas Texas so need to be able to make the full trip. Let me know, thanks!

      Not yet. It's not a priority at them moment.

      It needs the radiator swapped out. I did some work on it and ran out of time to keep tinkering and when I put it back in storage I noticed the radiator was leaking. I don't know when I'll be able to get to it. You certainly can't drive it in it's current condition. Once I get past a couple of projects I'm finishing I'll get another crack at it and let you know. I'd prefer to sell it as is, but it would need to be trailered in your case.

      Well damn. 😞 yeah a leaky radiator not a good idea to drive like 1600 miles. I am interested still once it’s driveable. I will keep looking tho till then. Thanks sir.

      whoever is going fix this, get that Do88 radiator, 30% larger core, and all metal. Greater cooling capacity and no snapping necks.
      I have one on both of mine. Yeah, it is expensive, but it is worth it.

      They fail. The aluminum cracks. Would not recommend.

      They’re chinese made. It’s the only do88 product that’s not made in Sweden and it shows, badly. Core punches through the end tanks. The design has been changed several times but hasn’t mitigated the problem (sh*t cores)

      Thanks guys for letting me know that. Been looking to do my radiator for a winter project. Radiator is just old. No leaks yet with the original oem. But temp would go up a a hair during summer time drives in the Florida heat. Looks like going Oem and will have soome bucks left over for something else to put in the car too. Maybe a better fan controller.

      I have not had any issues at all with my Do88's. They are very clear and specific about what kind of coolant to use though.
      There is a warning that use of incorrect coolant will break down the aluminum.

      I have had my OE radiator snap the plastic clean off at the top hose neck.

      Of course, buy whatever you like. But I have not seen any issues with my 88 stuff

      They’ve warrantied mine but after one engine replacement, not a gamble I’d be willing to take. Only genuine volvo coolant and distilled water were used. Failures were mechanical not corrosion both times.
