I took a look at 2006 today that had less than 50k miles.
The body was clean only a couple of small issues with the paint that could be taken care of or just as easily ignored. All maintenance to date has been done. It's clean, not enthusiast owned, but in reasonably good condition. The only real negative is that the owner seems to have used the Braille method of finding curbs and each wheel shows curbing. No accidents and the seller is the original owner. In short I like it.
My big area of concern is the top! Is the top mechanism a reason to search out a newer C70 or at least not a first year model? I guess the other issue might be the clearance for changing the TB. It looks tighter under the hood on this car than it is under the XC70.
My history with Volvos includes owning an '06 XC70 since new and a '14 XC90 that we bought last year. I've done the maintenance on both for the last year. Including replacing the TB, PCV system and the Haldex pump on the XC70, the XC90 really has only needed oil changes.
If anyone has any thoughts or can point to a good thread or two I would appreciate it.
