Steering wheels versions - show me yours.

I don't really like smooth leather wrapping the steering wheel on XC and wonder is there heated steering wheels that I could swap with? Like perforated leather or leather with a lot of texture... It would be great if it could be a little thicker too.
I thinks RDesign steering wheel is close to what I want but as far as I understand these are not heated?

R-Design is heated if you got the option.

It is a very nice wheel.

One can add to Inscription Black Headliner & Sport Steering wheel option to get the R-Style steering wheel. My question is - does it include ( or can it include ) gear shifting paddles ?

      Paddle shifters can’t be added
My sales rep ordered an inscription with sport wheel and it came without it.

Seems there are limitations on what XC90 can handle or Volvo allows. Like no HUD with heated windshield, while seen in other brands.

All right, we are getting close! Does anyone know part numbers for:

      - RD steering wheel heated
      - Inscription sport steering wheel (I assume it should be heated)

I found it searching for RDesign wheel. I don't think that blue background is available, but it would fit my Polestar Bursting Blue nicely

      It’s not really blue
      I’ve asked about it
It’s simply the pictures colors making look blue.

Even the steering wheel stitching looks strange.

Fastest route is to call parts department and ask about it at any dealer.

      Hello there.
For Inscription you have the following options:
(always check in accordance with VIN Number).

      - Sports Steering Wheel
Like R-Design but without the R logo at 6o clock and NO Paddle shifters

      -Heated Steering wheel
Same as inscription but with the outer leather rim

      -Sports HEATED Steering wheel
Like R-Design but without the R logo at 6o clock and NO Paddle shifters

There are 2 details not fully disclosed.
A- Whether is will have perforated leather like R design, because there has been talk that perforated leather was phased out at some markets for the sports steering wheel
B- Whether the Stiching at the inner part of the steering wheel will be contrasting white or black.
R-Design has the white stiching also in gear knob and other parts of the interior.
Inscription has a mix of white and black stiching on the dashboard and upper doors if ordered with leather dash and in relation with interior color options.

From my research you need 3 part codes for retrofitting the steering wheel and you need all three of them whether you go for Sports steering wheel or sports heated steering wheel.

The price Volvo quoted me was :
      A.Sports Heated Steering Part. No.32227374 845€
      or
      B.Sports Steering Wheel 815€

      C. +Regular Heated Steering wheel, leather
      Part. No. Description
      32204779 Charcoal
      32204780 Blond

      + Application, heating Part. No.31428189 30€
(Ordered according to separate procedures and downloaded using VIDA.)

      + Steering wheel module
Part. No.32266026 (Excl. CN, KR, US) 184€
      87€ labor

      Plus 24% VAT

They mentioned that module and unit are needed whether you decide on sports or heated sports.
I did not get a quote for the “normal” heated as i thought that for this amount of money it’s best to go for the full package sports+heated...

Hope this helps a bit to clear the confusion..

Well i hope this helps you.
Always keep in mind that certain codes are Compatible with relative

      a- Model Years
      b- VIN Codes
      c. Country Markets

I was quoted a cost of 1422€ for Heated Sports Steering Wheel fitted (Like the R Design - without paddles) and still contemplating whether its worth it..

My biggest complain on my XC90 is the steering wheel. I own the Momentum version and I wanted to retrofit for the R-Design with Paddles. I called everyone all over the world from local dealer to Volvo Sweden and even Car shops in sweden. . . Is not possible to retrofit the paddle shifters. Well, actually no one gave a true response because the information is not available.

If anyone knows the right info pls share or I can even pay for it. - thanks

Not to derail the discussion I started lol but honestly, I don't understand all this obsession with paddle shifters.. If you driving a car with auto tranny, well let the dummy robot to run the slushbox... A manual gearbox is well .. manual gearbox. if you wanna be in charge - drive a manual.. I tried many different cars with auto-manual and don't find it fun or useful feature. but I could be wrong of course. personal opinion..
