For the kinda prices most people are mentioning, one could drive and fly back for not much different. Maybe I should start a business where I drive vehicles around for people. I put that white protective film on cars when I arrive and drive them to your door. There must be a business model in there somewhere.

I'm pretty sure I remember these wheels from a previous posting, but pricing doesn't seem too bad considering overall condition. Interior looks pretty clean, too. Seats are nice. Dash doesn't have the curling edges. Original mats with yellow stitching. Buy some Volans and this would be a pretty solid Gul. So why's it still around? Mileage?

Perhaps a little high for a not-so-exciting color combination, but lower mileage.

I think Doug Tabbot from Switchcars mentioned something like that, except he bought cars instead of renting for certain roadtrips, drove it back to Ohio, show customers the underside of the cars "look, no rust" and make bank.

I'm sure I'm missing some details, but that's basically what he does sometimes haha

Yeah. I mean, I'd love to road trip/move cross country in my '72 164, but that'd be a long a slow trip, and there's a potential for weather early in the year, and at any given moment some random thing may break

Hell, as is we'll be moving cross country w/ 3 dogs, a beardie, and a hedgehog, wife wants to just take 1 car, which is also why I want a bigger car/wagon, cause we won't fit in my S60 well unless we hook up a trailer, so we may end up driving her beater CRV which we were gonna sell and leave here.

But seriously, come Feb/Mar/Apr when we move, if my S60 is deemed to be transported, I'll post it up here, except anything we take (house and cars) should be covered by wifey's job, I'm not against a friend driving, but if we get enclosed trailers for free, that's pretty great.

I dunno, what's the math show.
Let's say this would cost me normally $1000 to be trailered (with no mileage or wear and tear on my car):

City to city, 1930 miles exactly.
Lucky to get 25 mpg at speed in my car (75)
Average gas prices will vary but let's average at $3/gallon, so that's ballpark $250 for gas.
Best bet, that's 3 days, or in reality, 2 hard pushes, so that's 1/2 sleeps camped out in the car (ew) or 1/2 nights in a hotel, what's that, $75-150 total if you're cheap (rounded up).

So you cover food and make sure your insurance covers anything, and walk away with $675/600 and then you'd have to fly back to your home.

I mean, it's doable, definitely, but a lot of people possibly feel better with it being on a trailer, even if that's a false sense of security

That XC60 is over a year old and has almost 60k miles. They're asking probably about $10,000 under what the original buyer paid. The MSRP on an XC60 T6 RD was $48,200.

      So no.. not worthless.

Claimed one owner. Guessing garaged based on the condition of the Gobi.

Read it again. One FLA owner... "Well, I didn't say anything about the GA owner or the AL owner..." LOL
Electric silver looks weird without atacama or nordkap. Looking at the pics, this is an old person, who curbed wheels and drive and didn't clean often because they didn't need to, and yeah probably garaged.
The gobi does look solid, but not flawless. Some discolorations. And that sunglass holder!

An 05 s60 2.5T in midnight blue and oak. Looks clean, under $3K. Needs a few items to be complete. 154K.
Why do people leave all the adjustments poking out like that?? DC tags, WV inspection, VA work done? Wha??

      Lol

Yeah, I get the weekly "trending posts on swedespeed" email and always cringe when there's a new melted cylinder thread or engine replaced at 50k miles thread, these old 5 cylinders aren't perfect, but seems they have the history to make me less worried about it imploding.

Well, except for the auto transmissions...

Agreed. If it were a manual, I think I'd be trying to find a way to squeeze it in.

Anywho, I've been lusting over 94 Turbo Wagons lately and in red it looks even better. Too bad it isn't a '94!
