      2019 vs. 2020

I remember someone posted a while back the updated 2020 lineup revisions listing the changes and adjustments made to all 2020 models. I tried the search feature but couldn’t find it.

Just trying to figure out the differences because I remember a lot of minor things were shuffled around between trim levels and just want to compare. If someone could post the link again that would be awesome!

      Saving this for later.
      I'm expecting my R-Design 2020 to arrive )
Apart from the roof rails, door trims and mirrors being all black in the R instead of silver, I'm not sure what else is "new"

If it is like the v 90 you will also loose the electric folding seats. Other changes will be emailed to me from Sweden. Will post them when they get here.

      2019 vs. 2020

The XC60 is not having any updates according to sales rep we talked to yesterday.

R-Design seats on 2020 are now like the S60/V60 R-Design seats...meaning its the Leather/Cloth combo instead of Leather/Suede combo.

Items mentioned above, and for T8:

      • Orrefors shifter on Inscription only.
      • Slightly larger battery (11.6 KWH) and accompanying range.
      • Polestar tuning now available in US.
      • Refined regenerative braking.

Also, Park Pilot Assist is no longer part of the Advance Package and is a separate $200 option for US sold cars.

No more leatherette on Momentum ... leather is standard.
Standard 12.6 driver display across the board, no more 8. something driver display

The only downside to them offering the Fully Leather seats standard (2020) now is you don't get the power thigh extension (2019) that you used to get when you upgraded from Leatherette to Full Leather seats on Momentum's.

This review video talks about the changes. In addition to what has already been mentioned, R-Design now has a leather dashboard that comes standard.

There are some subtle changes. On the Polestar Edition vs the T8 R, the gear shifter toggles back and forth from B to D differently. An example of subtle change would be in the trunk, they removed the little stretch holder strap from the right side. Little things like that.

      Hey xgman!

Could you clarify what you mean by that? I just got a T8 XC60 recently (now on its merry way to the US on a boat!), and I played around with toggling between B and D, which I would of course do manually. But how is it different in the Polestar edition?

In my 2019 T8 it didn't toggle. You had to switch back and forth between D and B, and the gear steps changed differently (down and up I think) as opposed to sideways now. Maybe it was the crystal shifter that made it different, but I am having a hard time getting used to this new method even though it would seem simpler and makes more sense. I keep shifting up for Drive when I should shift down to toggle between D and B.

All that said, it could very well be the Polestar Edition only is like this, but to me it seems like they would have done the same thing in the T8.

Ok thanks, I’ll have to take a closer look when it finally arrives here!
