      Lightbulb XC90 Polestar Badge

Was wondering if there was a polestar badge, for the XC90 grill, that would compliment the badge on the tailgate.
Found the Swedish flag grill colors from iJDMTOY on Amazon and simply used one of the beam covers, instead of all three (blue, yellow, blue)
      I like the result.

(I'd share pictures, but I've spent a 1/2 hour trying to figure out how, and gave up)

Is it possible to get the new one that they use on the polestar engineered cars, that just has the star logo, with no text?

      This is the Amazon Link:

      https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I received all three (blue, yellow, blue) but only installed one of the blue bars.

A Polestar badge on the grill is for Polestar Engineered models only. Please don't up-badge your nice Volvo.

There isn't a p* engineered V90, but I love the p* engineered styling notes from their other vehicles.

Hell, if money was not a factor, I would honestly go so far as to match the rest of the styling cues by painting the calipers and re-webbing the seatbelts with yellow. Call me a poseur, I guess.

Do you have the part # of the badge? I feel like I could engineer some sort of mounting solution

Are you basing that on parts websites showing it as available? You can order it, it's just not currently in stock and Volvo has not released a replenishment date.

So unless a dealer has one physically sitting on a shelf, which would be odd for a part like this, then they're just showing it as available to order.

This is one of the retailers I am referring to.

I'll let you know if they come back and tell me that they can't actually fulfill the order.

Here's another site that specifically said "In Stock"
      https://www.wikingerparts.de/en/shop...older-32282800

Of course they look like they are in Europe, but that gave me hope that they might be available for distribution now.

Even if they do have it in stock, the shipping cost is 30Euro....so....that's a hard no for me.

Tasca sent me an email and said that one of the parts was "special order" but that they expected it to ship in 3-5 days.

I'll have my weekly follow-up call with them tomorrow, but my guess is that they will get a return notice that the part is out of stock with no replenishment date provided.

Meh, I didn’t debadge mine to be “cool” I did it for a cleaner look. I hate the cluttered billboard look and it’s a pain in the ass to clean in the between the letters (I wax and detail my car often) I love the clean look.

Hmmm. I recently purchased a new 2019 T6 and had Polestar installed prior to delivery. The dealer was supposed to send me the Polestar badge and they just left me a message saying the badge was an extra $80. As I paid for the optimization at the time of purchase I assume they are mistaken (though the salesman said this was directly from the parts department), as this would be a silly nickel and dime.

The vehicle does show 'Polestar Engineered' under drive modes and drives like Polestar is installed (I had it in my 2016 XC90 as well so I can tell before and after), so I'm not too worried about that. I understand that certificates are no longer sent. However I would like to have the badge (and now ensure there was no funny business with the install). I have reached back out to the dealership, but am wondering if it is easier to follow up with Volvo USA or Polestar Customer Service directly.

The badge is an optional part from the actual tune/software. As silly as it is, you have to pay for it if you want it. Always was. Ridiculous but true.

Perhaps something has changed however this has certainly not always been the case in my experience. I have had Polestar installed on several past Volvos. Most recently, I received a blue box directly from Polestar with a badge, keychain, registration certificate and other literature. While I understand they no longer send a formal registration number, it would be ridiculous not to include a badge and even worse form for a dealer to try and charge $80 for one when they just sold a brand new vehicle plus a $1,200 performance tune.

I agree fully. I’m a Parts Manager for a Volvo dealer. The badge has always been “extra” when installing the software at the dealer. It was just built into the cost of your software before. We included it at our cost at my store with the software upgrade. It used to cost peanuts but Volvo hiked the cost up ridiculously high.

Excellent news! Shame you had to fight this hard to get one. We at my store would have just given it to you in name of customer service. Glad you got a resolution.

I debadged for practicality (PPF'd entire car so they had to come off anyways then too lazy to put them back + much easier to clean when letters are absent like you mentioned), too much clutter as well, and rebelliousness ie, I don't care and I don't think others care (and I don't care what others think ) to advertise what kind of car I drive - it's a darn fancy minivan! Hehe ...
Instead I got some of Dave Barton's prancingmoose.com stickers and have confused the yell out of people thinking I drive a Ferrari SUV. Tailgaters have multiple times backed away presumably afraid of potential costly insurance claims if they rear end me. It's all kinda funny (to me) actually just because of a moose sticker . . .

So forget the Polestar badge and get some prancing moose stickers instead! (But seriously, to each her own)
