This came in the mail this morning. I'm at odds if I should paint the base black or other colors to hide the Polestar /ohlin instructions. What do you think?

Would like to see how it's when painted, though I went ahead and installed as-is on wife's black CC, haven't thought about it since...

Did you feel a difference on the CC with the addition of the brace?

Not really but I did not expect much to start with since the brace points are very close to the firewall on the SPA's, it would have been a placebo effect at best. The benefit could be there but adding the brace alone would have been really negligible, more an eye candy. I was not disappointed knowing that going in.

I agree, I really do believe it's mostly placebo. It's such a stiff chassis already it would take seriously tracking the car to legitimately notice the difference.

It would be nice to see a rear stabilizer come out from IPD to see if that tightens things even more.

Congrats! In regards to painting the base plates because they say Ohlins on them: Consider that only you, and your mechanic will be seeing it, so I guess it depends on how OCD you are, and how important your mechanic's (and everyone else's) opinion is

I installed mine, and haven't looked at it since. As for driving feel, I did notice an improvement in front end feel, and tracking.

      Custom exhaust

Originally, I was trying to order a Bastuck exhaust from Germany, but shipping costs went waaay up! ($300 to $850!). $1600 including shipping for a high flow muffler was too steep for me. This took me down the path of a custom exhaust.

My plan is to keep the factory exhaust layout, retain the resonator for a cleaner sound, and integrate the factory exhaust control valve into my new muffler. For this type of setup, I had to find an aftermarket muffler with a similar design as the factory muffler (single side inlet, and 2 center outlets). I ended up ordering a Vibrant muffler (#10633) which has a 2.5" inlet, and two 2.25" outlets. This is a straight through muffler, and will mount in the same location as the factory muffler (body length is 24"). I'll post pics of the setup and installation in a week or so. The muffler is already on order, and should be here on Friday!

Ok, gotcha! We used to have Cars & Coffee near my place in Irvine (at the Mazda USA HQ building). But they built so condo's in the area, and people complained about the noise, and that was the end of that.

Show off your modifications / accessories (What did you do to your Volvo today?)

Wrapped the roof gloss black, I like the look and the panoramic sunroof blends in nicely and matches the black mirror covers. Also installed the R-design pedals and some interior trim such as vent covers and parking brake trim surround and H&K speaker stickers. Also installed the Polestar strut bar and some new door sills.

Also went for something a bit different...instead of badges:

      Nicely done. Very tasteful indeed!

Where did you get the trim for the vents and speaker covers? I like their visual effect.

Finally had the front lower grille and foglight surrounds painted in gloss black. Will look great together with the Polestar Grille.

Oh, I didn't look at the pictures closely enough. I only saw the last two photos, so I thought you had a Polestar Engineered version, which has the big Brembo brakes, and I was wondering how you get those wheels to clear the calipers.

Very nicely done. Before you mount the grill, would you mind taking a picture of the back? I am wondering if the clips can be released from outside along the upper & lower surround.

      Here you go: https://www.google.com/search?q=3213...hrome&ie=UTF-8

I wonder if this also fits the S60, or if the Polestar S60 grille is a different part#.

Here in the Netherlands this is NOT a polestar grill.
But the R design grill. Comes with the R design pac
And this grill fits all v60 and s60.

Thanks for the fitment info. Does the Polestar grille in your market have a different part number?

The part description on this U.S. sellers website (https://www.volvowholesaleparts.com/...2133776?c=az0x) says: "Without r-design, without cross country, without surround view, code: gr09."

To swap or not to swap; that is the question. Not sure about about going with the P3 V60CC look on the mirrors.
