c3 Show of your modifications / accessories (What did you do to your Volvo today?)

Volvo is not the most accessorized make when compering to others however, Iím sure we got few in the group that have done some great stuff to their cars.

Wanted to create this thread for people to share what they have done or planning to do on your cars / wagons.

I have already removed my muffler and replaced with a Flow Master. Next mods are
      - upgrade to larger brakes, maybe a 6 pot
      - 19" x 8.5" wheels (if they fit)

I like the Polestar brakes, but I don't like the gold colors. Brembos might be the way to go, especially the blue powder coated ones

Installed OEM mudflaps over the weekend on my S60. They're nice and subtle and do a great job. We had tons of snow today and there was almost no direct spray on the side of the car right behind the wheels

Nice...how hard is it to wrap the grill trim in black vinyl? I am planning on doing that as well

Where did you get the front lip form (if you don't mind me asking)? I've been looking out for one for months, but haven't found anything that I think will fit.

I also have the exterior styling kit, so not sure if that will interfere.

      a pain in the ass!
i wrapped my S4 it was a joke, but the fact that the volvo grill is like a deep dish its hard..
I had to scrap that piece and didnt have the patience to start again.. plasti dip is sooo much easier for this type of grill

Very easy as long as you're comfortable taking off the wheels. and drilling one hole through the fender liner. Fronts just screw in, rears screw in and use a single rivet on the inner most aspect. The OEM install instructions are on the volvo official parts page.

Here's after photos, you honestly can barely even notice the mudflaps unless you're looking

Thanks for the pictures this is definitely a nice upgrade without making it look like a 4x4 gone pull the trigger on getting them for my car.

Thatís a great start and a awesome list to go!!! Definitely keep up posted.

Whatís the plan on the carbon trim where are you getting it from and are you planning on doing it yourself, The install? I was considering that for my V60 as well as I love the SQ5 carbon trim I got right now.

I was originally gonna go the cheaper route and get it wrapped but the same company that did my s4 is able to make a 1 off of the volvo trim... well see how it goes.

Where do you get the full carbon fiber trim from? I would love to see them.

My list is to install the Polestar upgrade (most likely at a 5K service) and ext. styling kit (only the side sills, though). I would love to get a new set of wheels in black.

I considered install a PPF (Full front) but my local Xpel installer wanted 3K for that, and I said no way.

Got Polestar and styling kit on order with the car. As for PPF itís pricey thatís for sure but I know I will loose my cool first rock chip so I hope that the PPF will offer enough protection for the normal driving.

When I ordered my car, there were not reviews on the Polestar upgrade, so I did not order it, knowing that I can add it later if I want to. After having seen some rave reviews, I want it just to boost the mid range torque and more sporty gear shifting, including engine bake on downhill, etc.

I wanted the styling kit but it was part of one expensive package (pro package?), which included other options that I did not want to pay for. I can get a kit for $500 (+ $25 shipping online) and ask my dealer to install it. I just want the side sills only, so I would think that the installation should be done in an hour. I might be able to do it by myself.

I had a front PPF (3M) on my M3 and it did its job pretty good. It was a lot cheaper (<$1000).

I am sure you cannot wait to get your car. It is a great car for sure. I am loving it.

Thanks and I donít blame you to go the route you did, thatís smart! I just wanted all build from factory and have the satisfaction of having it just the way I want it with a window sticker, my name, and options....

I definitely canít wait! However the time it took me to decide what I get and the effort spent Iím glad I placed the order and now I just got to wait LOL.

If I may make a request for this thread in the future

Please please please please don't quote a ton of photos. If you quote a post with photos just delete them from the text before replying. Otherwise we end up just seeing the same string of photos 10 times and it'll make the thread really hard to follow.

Yes I just talk with my guy, that is a reseller to them. We could get a potential discount / special pricing if we get few of us on pre-order list. I know I would sing up and if we get you and others maybe it would be well worth it?

On a side note, the weird part is the dead pedal on the R-deign is not metal....it's just black plastic....I found that to be odd compred to how dressed up the brake and accelerator are

      - 20" by 8.5" Momo wheels
      - Custom exhaust system with a cut off valve
      - Blacked out front grill bezel
      - A little rubber Swedish flag on the rear spoiler (an actual OEM part from the XC40)

Very nice! Do you have a recording of your exhaust?
Do you have to add spacers for your 8m5" wheels? What offset were they?

Yeah, you've probably already seen it as I've posted them in this thread: https://forums.swedespeed.com/showth...custom-exhaust
The wheels have an offset of 40.
