Rear Sway Bar Upgrade to “R”

I finished the sway bar upgrade work last weekend along with a bunch of other stuff.

Wow, the rear sway bar upgrade makes a big difference to handling. Rear ends stays low and stable around corners. Quite impressive.

As for the front, is it possible that factory size for XC is same as “R”? I took my old one out and eyeballed size next to the one I was putting in and if it wasn’t the same it was pretty damned close. Either way, I have not noticed any handling difference at front even with new bushings in control arms. My big beef right now is that front floats around like a boat especially at take off. May have to look at replacing shocks next year as everything else has been refreshed.

Front XC70 bar is marginally smaller than a S60R bar, we're talking 1mm difference. I have a S60R bar sitting in my garage that I have little current interest in installing due to the little, if any difference it will make.
Agreed on the rear though, made a big difference in the rear end not wandering all over the place.

Exactly. 22mm rear makes p2 chassis neutral.

Front sway bar is hollow on XC70 and solid on XC90, even if they are of the same diameter (or very close, I forgot). The XC90's weights like 50% more and is way more rigid.

      Xc90 25mm. Others 24mm hollow. 24mm hollow acts like a 22mm solid.

      That's what she said.

Are IPD bars hollow or solid? Pretty sure they're solid.
