      Boost levels...

      Iíve heard 14.7 roughly for stock boost numbers. The car pushes around 10-11 pounds but reaches 12 pounds on a good pull. Not sure where my loss is coming from... I have a snabb intake pipe and a stock downpipe with 3Ē exhaust and muffler from the downpipe back. I donít know if that may be a cause but I figured Iíd list them. Also looking to get a new intercooler setup and all of the piping as an upgrade... any recommendations ?

      Do88 and Snabb kits are both good and good quality.

      How is the rest of the tune up on your car? The ECU will pull boost if it detects knocking or misfiring of any kind, or if the mixture is off. Make sure all your sensors are in good shape, MAF, boost pressure sensor, spark plugs, coil packs, oxygen sensors, etc. Also run good gas of the highest octane you can buy.

      I wonder if you're acutally limited to 11-12 being an 04 and all, I know mine was when i got it being an 04 but is an auto. I know they weren't supposedly limited on the manuals but I wouldnt be surprised if that was the case here. Check the intake pipe from the IC to throttle body, also check your PCV hoses as well.

      This it is probably limited to 11-12, did you ever see 14-15 since buying it?

      If you dont have any leaks, your ecu is not pulling timing, and everything else is good then I'd say a tune would probably correct it. I did that not too long ago and got a Hilton tune. There might be away to check and see what its set to in Vida but I'm not sure, Hilton might be able to give you some direction on that.

      I plan on getting it tuned and a downpipe in the near future I just replaced the engine itís a long story I had a rod go through the block... but yeah everything is good on the car just have some charging issues Iím pretty sure itís the alternator but weíll see... I drove it one day and it died not long after I left the garage but the battery holds a charger and thereís no leaks.

      Mine is exactly the same. I thought there was a problem, went through testing the turbo and confirmed with Contrast that it was factory de-tuned.

      Stock boost on a 2004 R is 12psi not 14.7psi.

      It is also Load dependent. Meaning the ECU will try to achieve target boost at a given load situation. 4th gear pull at 50mph WOT should give you peak boost at around 2500rpm and beyond.

      Uhhh are you sure? My 04 vR when stock hit 15psi all day. Is there a chance it could have to do with production dates throughout the year?
