      2019 V90CC v 2020 V60CC

A local dealer has a couple of 2019 V90 CC T5’s on his lot, offering yuuuge discounts, offer price online several thousand below a comparably equipped 2020 V60 CC. Have to confirm if he’s rolled in the $6800 lease bonus as well. Lease nos. are not great: MF = 0.00194, Residual = 46%, for 36/10K lease, but if net cap cost hammered down, monthlies look not so bad. A deal, or...?

Maybe put some MSD's to reduce the MF?

You can check websites like leasehackr or Edmunds to get a sense if this is a good deal. Deals will always be better on last year's model and the new V60CC is pretty new so the deals probably aren't as attractive.

Just got educated on Leasehackr to the virtues of MSD and MF reductions...but, do all mfrs. and dealers accept this strategy? Volvo lease terms say zero SD, but does that one can’t do MSDs? Or simply enquire of a sales rep
      when discussing a possible offer.

MSD's are not permitted in all states also.

They're dropping the T5 V90 Cross Countries here and all the 2019's left over are on fire sale. Get them if you can. There aren't any around here that I've seen. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get them under $500 / month before any down payment. They should be a hell of a deal where they still exist. Here they seem to be have been sold within a week or two of getting on lot.

Too right, mate...dealer is deeply discounting before applying factory incentives, so deals abound. A few around locally, gathering quotes, but with maybe $5K down, payments as low as $340 w/ tax/mo.

If that's a 36 month lease, that's just $17,240 total cost for the lease period, or about $480 / month before the down payment.

I use a super simple method to judge the lease by itself. Divide the total cost by .65 (ideal residual) and then by the sticker price.

This gives you a % that is the dealer and manufacturer's grade on the deal. The better the deal for them, the worse the deal for you. If they're getting a D or an F, you're getting a great deal value-wise. (That's where you are.)

It doesn't mean there's no more room, but I'd be thrilled to be getting a deal like that.

Used the Leasehackr calculator with $5K down, adding in Volvo incentives, etc., reduced MF by 5xMSD to ca. 0.00163, Res%@ 46%...still a steal.

Ultimately went for a lease - 36/10K - on the 2019 V90 CC. Now, about red v amber rear turn signals...would love to swap out as has been done by other V90 CC owners, but as a lessee, probably verboten unless we plan to buy at lease-end.
Did see where Tascaparts apparently carry that tail-light kit, as Pt.# corresponds to an item sold by a UK after-mkt. supplier...$238ea/$476 the set. Disappointed that Volvo transitioned to red, as our previous 2015.5 V60 had the amber, and one cannot gainsay the visibility difference between the two colours, amber being clearly more noticeable, IMHO.
