Second row seat monitors

Our “new” Volvo has Volvo branded aftermarket headrest monitors for the second seat. Is there a way to remove these? We don’t need them, and my wife just thinks it’s an invite for someone to break into the car. I’ve removed the monitors, but can I remove the bases? The one on the passenger side is loose anyway, you can pull, the base away from the seat. Worst case if they can’t be removed, is there a way to tighten that one back up?

I don’t mind leaving the bases installed.

See in that second pic (which is sideways) that the base pulls away from the seat? I’d there a way to tighten that up? It just feels like something is loose. The drivers side doesn’t pull away at all but the passenger side does. The seat hits it hard when someone climbs into the back, I think that is what caused it (with the monitor installed). When the monitor is in the base, it really pulls down from the weight of the monitor.

What is visible from the front seat? Any screws?

For the OE tablet holder, the kit comes with a replacement headrest that has a built-in support for the tablet. It may be easier to see if you can detach that add-on part by following similar steps outlined in the OE installation instructions, which allows the headrest to be separated from the seat. It involves pulling the seat backing to access the fixtures that secure the headrest. Perhaps the mounting mechanism for that add-on part won't be visible unless you have access to its bottom side (that is hidden from normal view)
