      Screen Protector

Anyone using a glass screen protector?

I guess I would like the idea that in case anyone has long nails, rings, or when you just wipe the screen it doesn’t scratch or gets damage.

However not sure if anyone tried it before and how happy they are with it.

I also would worry about possibly removing it and damaging the screen.

      Any thoughts, pictures?

There are a few on amazon, and I believe Volvo actually had an OEM one for the XC90. Never seen one in person nor know anyone who uses one but seems simple enough. I agree though given the soft screen I could see removing a screen protector damaging it.

I’m guess you don’t use one? Do you worry about damaging the school?

Nope. Guess i never thought about it getting scratched, it's really not likely I don't think. My brother has a 2016 XC90 with some good miles on it and no issues, pops year old V90 as well. I've never seen anyone even mention scratching them as an issue.

I guess that’s a good thing, I guess as the screen was created for touch UI it was designed to take on the abuse.

I ordered this off Amazon back in September: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It fit well, and was easy to install. It protects from scratches, and impact. I'm happy with the purchase.

We have used this one in our 2017 XC90. Works great. I believe the Sensus screen is the same size on the SPA cars.

Generally the only damage I see on used Volvos at the dealership here are from folks using chemicals to try and clean the screen up. A screen protector wouldn't be a bad idea though and the infrared interface should mean you get little to no difference in performance.

I prefer a mat finish on my screens to reduce reflections and finger prints, and I installed one for S60 from NuShield - Triple A. I wish it was a bit larger but love it. Reflections and finger prints are 95% gone and everything still looks good.

Interesting it looks like now a lot of people recommend a screen protector.

Anyone had to remove one? Or has any install nightmares?
