\r\n Red Plate Camaraderie?\r\n
\r\n \r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n \r\n
\r\n
\r\n
\r\n Rainy Monday musings... It finally happened! I was out and about in our humble town of Petaluma, CA yesterday when I pulled alongside a white XC90 (a fellow polestar T6 no less) with the tell tale red plates waiting at a traffic light. I was so excited/stunned that I reflexively gave the driver a friendly wave only to be met with a rather puzzled look...I then realized he couldn\'t see my own plates, so he had no way to know that we were both kindred members of an exclusive club!
\r\n
\r\nI think this is only the 3rd time in Nor Cal that I have encountered the elusive red plates, and it got me wondering what others do when they encounter fellow OSD veterans out and about? Anyone else ever try to make contact or at least give them a knowing nod? Anyway, just curious how others react when you encounter fellow OSDers out in the wild? Seems like we could use our own HI SIGN like motorcycle guys use whenever they pass each other, though not sure what it would be... the V sign for Volvo seems obvious but unfortunately "Peace" laid claim to that a long time ago.\r\n

\r\n I’ve talked with three other Volvo OSD customers, all in parking lots. I’ve approached them upon noticing the Red Plates on their vehicles (C30, S60, and an XC90) and had interesting, friendly conversations every time. All have been particularly interested in looking at my ‘18 V90, since it’s rather rare. Common theme is, “wow, what a deal”! LOL\r\n

\r\n LOL....I do the V sign. In 15 years I have had one woman laugh a bit when she realized what I was doing. I had a red plater (XC60?) wave like crazy as they were turning in front of me. I started laughing and waved back. They must have just got the car as it was red plate only. No perm plate. Then the random parking lot. Or dealer service time\r\n
