Otherwise, if all you came here to do was vent and complain, we're sympathetic. Can't take that to the bank though.
no, you're right, my wife is actually a lawyer, I'll talk to her, I am venting, but you're right at one point i need to fix this issue... Im going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but still see with my wife what my options are legally..
Thanks for all the help guys!

Keep in mind lawyers are like doctors you’re not gonna ask a dentist about your hearing loss unless she practices in lemon laws the best she can do is direct you to the proper person

      Good luck

Wasn't trying to take the wind out of your sails. It helps to vent, but at some point, the venting ends and action begins. Sitting on the issue won't make it go away, and actually makes it harder to solve. As this issues are usually time barred, meaning the window stays open so long. Some states 18 months, others 24 months, etc. Not sure how it works in Quebec, but imagine the window isn't infinite to open a claim.

I told him that i was seriously thinking of stoping my lease and wanting to switch cars, he told me the 2 options i have are to do a lease transfer, or that Volvo offers a curtesy opt out plan, but he said there needs to be loads of paper work showing multiple issues with the car. he told me for the moment there are only work orders for repairing small issues on the car, Volvo Canada does not take work orders into consideration...
honestly im just hoping this is the last issue i encounter

You need help on both Legal side and mechanical

a lot of new cars now have no gas tank cap. every new Ford and others. This will not cause a check engine light.
