      How to remove indicator lenses

I'm converting my 445 from 6v to 12v, so I need to change the bulbs in my front indicators. They are the older, flatter, harder to replace style. Am I right to think the lenses are just held by the rubber ring of the light body?

Do I just pull them off, or is there a clip or something that needs to be removed first?

Yep: just the rubber holds in in place. First, remove the chrome ring by gently prying the rubber away from the ring's outside perimeter. Second, remove the glass lens the same way.

If you break the lens (which really shouldn't happen), replacements are plentiful and cheap: Lucas L488. Not a rare Volvo specific part.

Thanks very much. Good to know the lenses are available.
