      Adding power folding mirrors

I picked up a set of power folding mirrors along with a button from the dash from 07' XC70. Is it possible to make these functional in my 02' or are electronics different?

That's all? I thought 05+ might be different as far as electronics go.

I bought one a while back, haven't had a chance to put it all in yet but it comes with everything you would need. Currently on sale too!

This dude added 2007 mirrors with indicators to his 02, as far as I know the folding is identical no matter what year. Only difference would be if you had to do the custom wiring for the indicators or not.

The Viva link I posted also has the correct software package you would need to flash!

...Alternately, if you don't feel like buying VIDA, a CFE+ (v-division.com) can trigger them to fold when you lock the car with no software download.

I know the door wiring harnesses for 2001-2004, vs 2005+ are different, had to swap hanresses when I swapped a 2008 S60 front passenger door onto my 2001 V70 (kept the 05+ harness if you need it).

The whole door harness is different, yeah, but the mirror connector specifically should be the same. That's what the link I posted above says, at least! (Again, with the exception of the indicator light pins)

I'd like to have a set of them as well. Haven't been lucky enough to stumble across a set yet for 07+.

95WanderWagen had a set for sale a while ago. He's also good at hunting down parts from his local yards.

Have them on my XC70, and they were/are super useful with the narrow garage I used to have (still useful with a normal one now). Highly recommended if you can make them work.

I saved up for a WHILE, it's $299 for the kit with blinky lights, auto folding, plus puddle lights and it comes with everything save the glass + mirror shells, but you can use the ones off your car. I've never seen a set at a junkyard and I look every time I go

Guess the $25 I paid at the wreckers wasn't a bad deal.

I don't know, what do they look like? There are turn signal indicators in the front and lights underneath.

Lights underneath = puddle lights you got the ultimate mirrors, now to see if we can source a set of BLIS ones and combine them....

I did try to fit a set of ‘07 mirrors to my old ‘02.
The folding worked through VIDA , but not the switch with out programming.
But I seem to recall that the movement when in the wrong direction. I.E. if I moved the leaver up the glass would go side ways.
I believe I found different connections from the two years, but never fixed it as I scraped it.
My 2006 V70 has folding mirrors already. I may change them to 2007 ones , but it is only one cable to change.
Years ago if fitted some to a 2001 XC70, but used the new parts kit from the dealer and got them to program it.
      Saffron V70R 1998 Auto FWD,
Silver 2006 V70 D5 manual FWD, fixing slowly.
Blue 2002 V70 D5 manual FWD, striped and gone.
Champagne 2003 V70 D5 AWD Auto, striped and gone.

I'm going to try to put my set of power folders in today! I'll post pics in my thread when done.
