Hello SS, for sale is my white 2007 XC70 Adventure with black interior. It currently has 132,750 miles on it.
I've owned it for two years and have invested in servicing/replacing many of the parts that come due with these cars around the 125K mark.
I had intended on driving it for about 10 years, but with 4 cars my wife and I decided to sell it along with our XC60 and just get one family hauler.
Anyways, that's our story. Here's more about the car.
It's an Adventure series so it has the premium audio, larger 17" wheels, and watch dial gauges. Heated seats, privacy glass, parking sensors, child door locks, rain sensing wipers, and auto dimming rear view mirror are most of the options I can think of off the top of my head.
In September of 2018 at mileage 123K, I had the guys at Rolling Motors do the following preventative maintenance for which I have receipts:
Tires: Nokian WRG3
OE Volvo springs all around. It sits much higher than XC's you'll see with tired springs.
OE front brake lines and fluid flush
front and rear sway bar end links
front bump stops, upper strut bearings, and control arm bushings (both in each arm)
Haldex service (filter, fluid, seal)
That fall I also did some DIY stuff: cabin air filter, fuel filter, air filter, Bosch wipers, engine mounts (top, lower torque rod, front, and side), strut bar mounts, rubber pieces that connect OTE pipe to turbo and intercooler.
Brake pads and rotors were also done at this time: Centric E coated rotors and ceramic pads.
Also, Volvo spark plugs too.
Other odds and ends: O2 sensor, alignment with a new outer tie rod end, Bosch starter all done at a local shop called Swedish Performance.
Oil changes and tire rotations I do myself every 5K with Castrol 5w-30 synthetic and Mahle filter. I did the oil this weekend, so it's all set for another 5k.
Also, refinished the headlights with a product from Phillips and did the H9 bulb mod for the low beams.
As for modifications, I've done a few but I don't think they detract from the car:
Rear sway bar from an R with 50K on it. Still have the front, just never installed
V70R catback exhaust with resonator delete off an R from Florida with 45K on it. It was spotless with I installed it this fall. It is not noisy at all, with no drone. I had no interest in doing that to the wagon. You only really hear it if you step on it merging onto the highway.
OE wing, painted to match and installed by a local auto body shop. Looks good, not some trashy spray paint job.
Volvo OE 2" hitch. Used it for bike racks, we don't own a boat!
OE mudflaps all around
OE winter mats purchased new this fall. Also have the trunk liner, but that wasn't new.
T5 sport steering wheel and shifter. I hated the 4 spoke wheel, still have it if you want it.
Snaab turbo inlet fresh air pipe. Looks great under the hood and improves throttle response.
Lastly, a tune from IPD. I love it, wouldn't own another XC70 without a tune. It's conservative, but really makes a difference when passing on the highway and merging at speed.
Also included in the sale:
Thule aluminum roof rack and basket valued at over $900
Tepui 6' awning worth another $320
I keep it clean, vacuumed, and I don't drive it like an idiot. (middle aged guy with a wife and 2 kids)
Located in Guilford, CT. I will still drive it once or twice a week (100 miles a week).
