      TIming belt/ WP replacement ?

So at 150,000 miles on the 02, it is time for a new timing belt kit since it has been just about 10 years on this one.
Common sense tells me I should do the water pump at the same time since it is original.
      Any thoughts on this?
I am planning to do the TB and PCV in one shot.
Anything else I should address while I am in there?
      Thanks

May as well just do it. I rarely see the water pumps leak, but general rule of thumb is you do it on the 2nd timing belt change.
Being as it's original and your car has 150K I would just do it. Anytime I do the belt I do pump.
      Grab an Aisin from FCP.

s70t5ing, that was my thought, 2nd timing belt just do the pump too and do everything in one shot. I have FCP on speed dial lol.
Scottish, good call on the banjo update,I didn't think of that.

      Thanks

When I took a 2nd t-belt out of the car at 160k miles for the camshaft seals, the pump's bearing was already knocking. It was like $60 for Aisin (OE), I don't see why people recommend doing it every other t-belt. In lots of cases it would be "replace along with engine"

Also 150k miles for the belt tensioner is waaaay too long.

Sounds like this is TB#2, with the first in 2012ish. So hopefully not the original tensioner

Yes, replace the WP at this point.

I've always replaced the tensioner and idler at the same time. That's asking for trouble and I'd have to kick my own ass if I pulled that stunt. LOL
