I have a 2004 XC70 that is stuck in limp mode, “Reduced Engine Performance”. This forum has been very helpful, and I have been reading the following threads:
I have the following ECM codes:
- ECM 903C - throttle position sensor,
- ECM 913C - Throttle Unit
- ECM 9150 - Control Valve Inlet,
- ECM 9160 - Throttle Unit,
- ECM 91B7 - throttle Unit
I think electronic Throttle actuator needs to be replaced, or at least the harness/pins are bad. Any ideas how to get out of limp mode?
I’ve found the bosh replacement on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-Origina.../dp/B00BJJ9OI0).
Does the 04 XC70 need programming? Read it may require the adaptives for the throttle body be reset. How do I reset the adaptives?
Here is my plan thus far:
- Check Fuses
- Replace Battery
- Check Wiring Harness
- Remove ECM check for corrosion
- Replace ETA/ETM
Any feedback or guidance would be very helpful, love this car want to keep her running for another 200K.
