      Locking Issue

I tried locking my car with my key fob. I didn't hear the beeps st all like it usually does when it confirms it is locked. So I tried to open the doors (after placing the keys far enough away to not activate the keyless entry). All were locked, except the rear driver door unlocked and the alarm started going off. Anyone know what's going on or have had this issue? Thanks.

I have the same issue. The only thing I've found is a small hole above the latch on the door. I stick my house key in, turn it clockwise until it clicks, sometimes I have to do it on each door, and then the lights will flash and the beep occurs. It doesn't fix it permanently but it does fix it for a while.

What is mentioned above is not a fix. It's just a way to lock the door when the electric lock does not work. It's a fail safe way if you will.
Anyway, those locks are known to go bad with use. You can change them yourself to the tune of about $180 or so for the part plus your time and effort. Or, of course, you can have it done by the dealer.
At this point I'd recommend doing nothing and living with it. These locks, on all 4 doors, are subject to a recall by Volvo. Wait till you get the letter from the dealer.

Are the electrical actuators being replaced as well with this recall? I thought it was just the latch mechanism?

The latch and actuator are all in one unit so yes, both will be replaced.
WD40 would be worth a try. It didn't work for me though.

Welcome to the party! It seems like we aren't alone with this issue. I have a 2012 S60 T5 and both of my rear doors have gone bad. Luckily there is a recall which affects 2011-2017 S60/V60s which replaces the latch. My guess is that Volvo made the latches very poorly and as a result they seem to fail after 5 years. I did temporary fix it by putting WD40 inside the actuator but after a few days the issue arouse again.
